General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could fire Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for stealing his wife! We might see Sonny come home furious in the Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) wedding aftermath, so let’s talk about one way the drama could play out.
When Sonny finally returns to Port Charles, it’s doubtful he’ll have his memories back. Sonny will likely still be “Mike,” so that could cloud his view on some things he doesn’t quite understand.
“Mike” may struggle to wrap his head around the situation Jason and Carly have been forced into.
From where “Mike” is standing, it may seem like Jason stole his wife and perhaps wanted her all along. We’ve seen Sonny have dreams about the blonde mystery woman, who we know is Carly.
Sonny will soon know that as well and might be drawn to Carly despite his interest in Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Things will be complicated due to Sonny’s lack of memories and Nina’s deception, but GH spoilers say Carly will no doubt want her old husband back.
Since Sonny will still have “Mike’s” mentality, he may not approve of the way Jason has handled things. Jason and Carly’s deep bond isn’t going to do them any favors.
Sonny could certainly fire Jason for marrying Carly and then try to dump the whole mob organization. It’s not that easy to just get out of the mob, but “Mike” hates crime and may want to try anyway.
We could see a major battle erupt as Jason tries to stop Sonny from getting them all killed.
The show could be positioning Sonny and Jason as rivals in this new chapter of the story. Carly may be caught in the middle as she tries to promote peace and help “Mike” remember his old life.
However, “Mike” is a simple man who may not consider Jason’s marriage move to be some sort of noble sacrifice. It may be a betrayal in Sonny’s eyes since he won’t understand all the inner mob workings.
“Mike” could view this from the surface angle of his supposed best friend marrying his wife and lash out. Jason and Carly may have a hard time explaining everything to Sonny, but they’ll have to give it their best shot!
