General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have to tackle a tough mystery. GH fans know Sonny’s been having a manic episode at Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) bar, so addressing that needs to be the priority.
Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) can tell Sonny likely has a psychological disorder, so hopefully Sonny will get the help he needs soon.
Once Sonny realizes he’s bipolar and gets back on his meds, what then? Sonny hasn’t had any memories of his old life, though he did feel like something came to him when he was planning the new drinks for Lenny.
All Sonny is aware of at the moment is that he knows his way around a bar and that he’s married. He knows the married part due to the wedding ring he woke up wearing.
Sonny’s manic episode has left him feeling grateful to be a new man, but he might become more committed to getting his memories back once he’s medicated and his mood evens out.
It seems like Sonny will eventually have to dive deeper on some important questions regarding his unknown spouse.
Sonny mistakenly assumes Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) vintage watch is his own, which is how he got the name “Mike.” The inscription said, “Mike, never enough time. -A.”
It was obviously an old gift from Adela Corinthos to Mike, but Sonny doesn’t know that. Sonny will wonder who this mysterious “A” is and question if his wife’s really out there waiting for him.
Sadly, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) believes Sonny is presumed dead and will hold a memorial service for him in February. Nevertheless, Sonny has to believe “A” could be missing him.
On the other hand, Sonny may also wonder why “A” hasn’t come looking for him in the area.
Part of Sonny might worry that “A” is dead and assume he was just wearing the wedding band in memory of her. Sonny might even fear that his wife got caught up in whatever trouble he was in and ended up missing, too.
We have to remember that Sonny has no idea what happened, so his mind will be a blank slate full of possibilities.
Once Sonny mulls over the ring and the inscription he assumes was meant for him, will he hold out hope to find his wife? Could Sonny decide to let her go instead? That may depend on any other romantic prospects that might drop into Sonny’s lap!
However, Sonny and Carly have a powerful connection that might start to shine through despite Sonny’s memory issues. General Hospital spoilers say these are some intriguing clues that Sonny will have to ponder a bit more.
Sonny’s wedding ring and watch inscription might strengthen his fight to get his memories back and ultimately return home. It might just be a matter of finding the right specialist or the right trigger to spark something in Sonny’s mind.
