General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elijah Crowe could become a crucial part of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) path back to Port Charles. GH fans know Elijah was eager to make a deal with Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).
Elijah tried to play it like he was doing the Caulfields a favor, but Sonny could see through this shady sweet-talker right away.
Since Sonny didn’t want to see Phyllis and Lenny lose control of The Tan-O, he managed to swoop in and save the day with all his poker winnings. Elijah once again pretended he was happy for the Caufields.
However, Elijah dropped the “nice guy” act outside and ordered someone to follow “Mike.” Elijah wants to know everything there is to know and expects his minion to do whatever it takes.
It’s clear that there’s distrust on both sides since Sonny doesn’t like Elijah – and now Elijah doesn’t like “Mike” for blowing his bar deal, which would’ve been a sure thing without Sonny’s intervention.
What happens now that Elijah has instructed someone to tail Sonny and report back? Elijah seems like the kind of man who’s powerful – someone with plenty of connections and resources.
Sonny doesn’t remember who he really is, but there might be some clue that could tip Elijah’s helper off to the truth.
Perhaps something else Sonny touched could be stolen for another shot at running those fingerprints. Then again, maybe Elijah is tied to a crime organization that knows Sonny quite well by his reputation, one that also knows Sonny….
General Hospital spoilers say more about Elijah will be revealed in time, so it’ll be interesting to see who he knows and what he might learn moving forward.
All it’s going to take is someone finally recognizing Sonny as the infamous mob boss of Port Charles. Sonny’s supposed to be a big deal, so this shouldn’t be that hard!
One way or another, Elijah could score information that leads him to figure out that “Mike” is actually Sonny Corinthos.
Naturally, Elijah doesn’t seem like the type to just reunite Sonny with his family out of the kindness in his heart. Elijah is clearly a bad guy masquerading as a good one, so we have to consider how he might use this info for selfish gain.
It’s possible Elijah knows someone in the same circles as Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) – or he could at least do his research and find out who Sonny’s main enemy is these days.
Bottom line, Elijah’s in the position to potentially discover Sonny is alive and give Cyrus this information as well. It could lead to a deal between Elijah and Cyrus that results in Cyrus scoring major leverage.
Cyrus could easily use this to get Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) back and gain power over the Corinthos clan by removing their leverage.
