General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 1, reveals that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) showed up to see Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in lockup and ripped into him for killing Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Jason finally shouted that he didn’t do it – and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) arrived to back Jason up on that.
Obrecht told Scott that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was the one who killed Franco and suggested Jason was lucky to have her as an ally. At the Metro Court bar on Thursday’s General Hospital episode, Scott joined Liesl for some drinks.
Liesl felt responsible for not being able to save Franco’s life and got Scott on board with helping her make Peter pay.
After Scott offered to take Liesl home, she smiled and took him up on the offer. There was a nice moment between them later as Scott accepted Liesl’s invite to come inside.
Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) showed up at Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) place bearing chocolate chip cookies. Joss was on hand to witness a shocking scene between Cam and his younger brother.
Jake wanted to visit Jason and defended his dad’s innocence, but Cameron snapped that Jake was stupid if he believed that. Cameron was adamant that Jason killed their stepdad.
After Jake stormed out, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) went after him and faced her son’s question about whether what Cam said was true.
Liz noted that according to the law, everyone was innocent until proven guilty. As for Josslyn, she scolded Cameron for being cruel and convinced him to apologize.
Cameron was sincere in that apology, but Jake refused to accept it since Cam wouldn’t take what he said about Jason back.
Afterward on Thursday’s GH episode, Cam sat with Josslyn in the kitchen and felt bad for how things went down with Jake. The conversation turned into a confrontation since Joss believed Jason was innocent, but Cam felt she had blinders on.
Jake once again brought up the idea of visiting Jason, so Elizabeth reluctantly took him. After Jake was in front of Jason’s cell, he offered up a painting that touched Jason’s heart.
Jason gave Jake his word that he didn’t kill Franco and insisted he’d never hurt anyone if it meant hurting Jake.
Elizabeth watched the exchange and seemed to believe Jason was telling the truth. Jason told Jake not to defend him if people started saying bad things. He just wanted Jake to live his life, get along with his brothers and keep making art.
Over with Peter and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) interrupted their argument before Peter went on his way. Carly was irritated since Peter was offering a warning shot, but she admitted Jax hadn’t been the one to blow it.
Carly felt like she’d let Peter get to her because what he said was true – Jason was locked up and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as gone, so that left Carly to handle things on her own.
Jax downplayed Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) threat since he felt like Cyrus was mostly interested in going after Sonny.
Talk turned to the phone call Carly had with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) not too long ago. Jax wondered what it was about, so Carly assumed Nina was calling about suing for visitation rights.
Carly suggested she advised Nina not to do that, but Jax seemed to get the idea about it being a heated exchange.
Carly mentioned Nina’s weird threat about how she made her bed and would have to lie in it alone. However, Jax assured Carly that she wasn’t alone and placed his hand on her own tenderly.
At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, she insisted she’d do whatever it took to protect her baby. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) couldn’t help since Maxie was so willing to risk all.
However, Britt softened once Maxie got stressed – and then Peter showed up at the door. After Maxie let Peter in, he gave her a teddy bear and claimed it was the only thing he got to keep from his adoptive parents.
Peter suggested he felt like it was a reminder that there were people who would love him someday – people like Maxie.
Maxie convinced Peter to give her a few days before he came around again. She seemed somewhat moved by the teddy bear and Peter’s sob story, but Britt insisted her brother was full of it. Britt got that same teddy bear from Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
Maxie dropped the bear to the floor and said Britt was right about Peter not giving up. Britt agreed to go along with Maxie’s stillbirth plan and had an idea about how to keep Peter away until the baby’s born.
At The Tan-O, Nina returned from a tour of the area with “Mike” aka Sonny. He was hopeful about Nina writing the story and boosting tourism. Nina got Sonny talking about his past again and wondered why he hadn’t tried harder to find out who he really was.
Sonny told Nina he wasn’t sure where to start. Besides, it’s not like anyone had come around looking for him. Sonny felt like he’d probably been given up on pretty easily, but Nina suggested he shouldn’t be so sure.
However, “Mike” argued that his old life was potentially a mess. He felt he might be better off not knowing and seemed content with this new life instead. Outside, Elijah Crowe (Dan White) spoke with someone on the phone and learned they’d come up empty on “Mike” information.
Elijah wanted his minion to keep digging, but he intended to get some info himself.
Once Elijah entered the bar, he greeted “Just Mike” and was introduced to Nina. As Elijah kept asking questions about who Nina was and where she was from, Sonny wondered if Elijah would ask her shoe size, too.
Elijah thought maybe Nina and Sonny were old friends based on the vibe he witnessed. Nina assured Elijah that she’d only just met “Mike.” Elijah found out Nina was considering doing a human-interest story to get more people to visit the area.
Sonny talked Nina up as a big deal since she was the Crimson editor, so Elijah pointed out it was a fashion magazine and seemed intrigued. He also convinced Nina to let him take her on the special insider’s tour around town tomorrow.
After Elijah left, he got on the phone again and wanted information on Nina Reeves next.
Back inside The Tan-O, Nina noted that “Mike” didn’t seem to think much of Elijah. Sonny replied that it didn’t matter what he thought. Nina pointed out that tomorrow was going to be very interesting and smiled at Sonny.
