General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 29, reveals that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hobbled in the ER with help from Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
They couldn’t believe Joss talked them into that game of pick-up volleyball since Joss had injured her ankle again, but she insisted she had to be ready for the tournament.
Once Joss was in an exam room, she lied to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about turning her ankle in a hole. Josslyn got an MRI that revealed she was mere millimeters away from tearing a ligament.
Portia was sorry, but Josslyn’s volleyball season was officially over. Joss flipped out, but Portia left Trina to comfort her while she went to get an ankle boot.
Trina tried to give Joss a pep talk since they could have a blast at PCU, but Josslyn was upset over blowing her shot at getting off the waitlist for Southern Coastal University. She didn’t want to support her teammates at the tournament since she felt she’d already left them down.
However, Josslyn did think a break from Port Charles was in order. Since they’d already cleared the trip with their parents, Joss suggested going to Nixon Falls instead. She pointed out that Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) wasn’t able to make the flight home and needed a ride.
Trina was hesitant to mislead Portia about where she was going, but Joss gave her a nudge and thought a road trip was just what they needed. “Nixon Falls, here we come!” Josslyn insisted on Thursday’s General Hospital episode.
At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) admitted she was terrified over this whole Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) situation. She feared Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) would end up dead like Julian Jerome (William deVry), but Nikolas argued their situations were totally different.
Talk eventually turned to Nikolas’ fractured relationship with Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel), who emailed to say he wouldn’t be home anytime soon. Ava felt partly responsible, but Nikolas took the blame since his issues with Spencer began with his faked demise.
After Nikolas left, Cyrus showed up and left Ava unsettled. Ava felt like Cyrus got his mother back and that should be that, but Cyrus suggested it was never that simple with him.
Before Cyrus left, he commented on Ava’s little angel and suggested Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) bore a striking resemblance to her late father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The veiled threat left Ava even more disturbed.
At Pentonville, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) learned she was being transferred off cleaning duty. After Alexis was summoned to the visiting area for a visit with Nikolas, she acknowledged her cushy new job in the library and insisted she knew what Nikolas had done to keep her safe.
Alexis worried about how much of Nikolas had to trade for her sake and lashed out at him, but the benefits far outweighed the risks as far as he was concerned. Nikolas insisted he could handle Cyrus and assured Alexis that he merely gave Cyrus his stolen elderly mother back.
When Laura Collins (Genie Francis) crossed paths with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), she could tell they’re relationship had taken a romantic turn. Laura was thrown by this information, but she tried to be nice despite Liesl’s history.
As for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she talked to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) escape tonight. Carly talked about securing Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) help. She assured Brick that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was handling the security cams and hacking things remotely.
Carly insisted that Jason would have to fill the role Sonny would normally fill now that the five families meeting was coming up. Carly needed Brick to pitch in since Jason would be busy, so Brick was honored. Once Laura arrived, she met Brick and later had a private conversation with Carly.
Since Carly needed Laura to keep Cyrus busy tonight, she suggested Laura could pretend to soften and talk to him. Laura argued that a relationship with her was like a trophy to Cyrus – that he only wanted it because he couldn’t have it. Carly felt they could use that fact to their advantage and really needed Laura’s help on this.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Carly opened it to find Ava, who insisted this couldn’t wait since it was about Avery. Ava admitted that Avery was in trouble and left Carly looking concerned.
In Jason’s room, Britt once again insisted there was no need to worry about loved ones since she didn’t have very many besides Liesl. Britt thought Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would be safe due to Cyrus and Peter’s alliance.
As long as Cyrus didn’t find out Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) was her friend, she insisted there was nobody else to fret over.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) brought Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) to GH and pointed out that Jason would have to go back to Pentonville after this. She warned Danny that his dad would be handcuffed to the bed, so Danny understood all that.
Danny eventually rushed in and hugged Jason before talk turned to his innocence. Jason felt that was the important thing to remember – that he didn’t kill Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) no matter what anyone said.
Danny wondered when all this would be over, but Jason couldn’t say and felt they would have to be patient.
Sam wound up cornering Britt and thought it odd that the chief of staff was Jason’s primary doctor. Britt wondered if Sam had a problem with that – and GH fans could tell Sam seemed a bit jealous!
Later, Sam joined Jason and suspected this General Hospital stay was part of a setup. Jason wanted Sam to have deniability, so he didn’t get into the details. Sam agreed that her kids were the priority since that was the choice she made.
Back with Liesl, she tracked down Britt to see if there was really legitimate danger. Liesl thought this must involve “that swine” Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and wondered what he’d done now.
Britt mentioned a plan involving Jason, so Liesl freaked since that man was a magnet for danger. She insisted Britt should pack her bags and wanted to leave the country.
Britt argued she couldn’t due to her patients and Maxie, so Liesl relented. After Scott showed up, Britt gaped as she realized things had turned romantic between her mom and Scott. Liesl suggested Britt shouldn’t look so scandalized and alluded to desires that needed to be fulfilled. She hinted that Britt should try it!
At one point on Thursday’s GH episode, Britt bumped into a suspicious-acting hospital employee. Later, that employee called Cyrus to inform him that Britt had been with Jason earlier like Cyrus thought.
After Cameron found out Jason was at General Hospital, he went up to his room and glared at him as he entered. We’ll offer updates as other GH news pops up.
