General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, August 26 – Sonny on Edge Over Peter Project – Britt & Obrecht Celebrate – Finn’s Big Surprise

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, August 26, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be on edge over a “Peter Sinclair” aka Peter August (Wes Ramsey) project while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) celebrate. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will also get a big surprise, so let’s discuss what’s brewing on the ABC soap.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will admit she can’t tell if someone’s joking or not. This may tie in with Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) new point of view regarding Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth).

Although Michael wasn’t happy about Austin manipulating Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he handed over the document proving Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) wishes – though there’s no guarantee it’ll hold up in court.

However, Michael will wonder if it’d really be the end of the world if Austin got some ELQ shares and took his seat at the table like he wanted. Brook Lynn will likely stand her ground, but Michael will try to be the voice of reason.

At Chase’s place, he’ll get a visit from a sympathetic Finn. Chase will offer updates on the end of his marriage and how it turned out to be a lie.

Finn will ask if Chase would do things differently if he could go back – presumably meaning all the way back to staging the fake affair with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).

Chase may decide that things turned out how they were supposed to, but that won’t change the pain he’s feeling now. In Nixon Falls, Peter will remind Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about the terms they’ve agreed upon.

Peter will make it clear that it’ll be an eye for an eye if there’s any secret spillage, so Nina will have to be careful.

Peter expects Nina to help him set up a base of operations there for a while and pass along news that’ll help him find Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) first.

Peter’s threatened to go after James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) if Nina doesn’t cooperate – and if Nina rats Peter out to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), he won’t hesitate to rat Nina out to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), too.

Of course, Nina already knows exactly where Louise is since she’s in on the “Bailey Quartermaine” secret.

That’ll raise the stakes as Nina tries to keep Peter out of the loop. Nina will call Liesl for help before the week winds down, so Liesl will be more than willing to assist with Nina’s Peter problem.

In the meantime, Britt and Obrecht will find a reason to celebrate. That could involve Britt getting along with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) on the job or perhaps the fact that her Huntington’s disease hasn’t presented itself yet.

Britt may even want to celebrate Liesl’s bliss with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) or their upcoming St. Lucia trip together.

Whatever the case, Britt will count her blessings despite her sadness over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) impending marriage.

Speaking of that marriage, Maxie will throw herself into wedding planning and will even offer some guidance to Carly.

“This feels really weird, and I don’t know why,” Carly admits in Thursday’s GH preview video.

Maxie may think it’s normal for Carly to have strange, complicated feelings since she’s marrying her best friend – and it hasn’t really been that long since Sonny “died.”

Speaking of Sonny, he’ll have questions about a new project. That’ll no doubt involve the story Nina tries to sell about Peter sticking around Nixon Falls. “Mike” has good instincts, so he already seems a bit wary of Peter – and that bad feeling is only going to get worse.

Back in Port Charles, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will open up to Jason about how wrong it feels for Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) to be at odds. Jason will understand Joss’ frustration, but he may think the situation will improve in time.

Finally, Finn will be on the receiving end of a fantastic surprise. That might have something to do with the camping trip Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has planned, which Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) and the boys are going on.

Liz will rope Finn into the trip as well and may have some special gear in mind for him.

General Hospital spoilers say Finn and Liz will grow much closer on this camping trip, so stay tuned.
