General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 1, reveals that Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) faced some horror at the gallery while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) kicked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) out after he delivered his Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) marriage blow. Here’s what went down on Thursday’s thrilling GH show.
At Charlie’s Pub, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was surprised to see Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) at Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) graduation bash. Curtis wondered if Portia was ready to party, but she made an excuse and couldn’t get away fast enough.
Later, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) fished to find out if Curtis had asked Portia on a date yet. Curtis insisted they were just friends, but Laura thought the sparks were undeniable.
At the Corinthos home, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had a little graduation celebration of her own with her family.
Carly assured Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wouldn’t trash him to Joss as the siblings talked nearby.
Jax also tried to speak with Michael, who couldn’t forgive and forget. Michael argued that Jax made his blackmail choice and would have to live with the consequences.
As for Josslyn, she decided to attend Cameron’s party after some deliberation and left her own gathering early.
Back at Charlie’s Pub, Cameron was frustrated since things still weren’t back to normal in his relationship with Jake Webber (Hudson West). Cameron tried to kid around with his brother, but Jake was just aloof yet polite.
Cam admitted he screwed up by blaming Jason for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death and not realizing his mistake until it was too late.
Cam confided in Trina, who thought Cameron should hang in there and be persistent with his apologies.
Cameron was pleasantly surprised when Josslyn showed up, so the teens all shared some nice moments. However, Joss told Cam she’d be busy with volleyball when he tried to suggest hanging out.
Meanwhile, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) filled Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) in on how he was still fighting for his marriage. He also hoped to have an answer about the stalker tonight.
Nikolas installed extra security measures at Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) gallery that only he knew about, including more cameras and a motion sensor.
After Nikolas explained his trap, he talked about how he’d get an alert on his phone if it was triggered.
As for Ava, she got a visit from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the gallery.
Since Ava had a hangover and didn’t look ready for Trina’s party, she opted to get something to eat with Nina and try to get rid of her headache.
A young man dressed in all black was wearing a mask when he showed up at the gallery later.
While Nikolas got a phone alert and headed for the gallery, Trina showed up there and was frightened by the sight of this masked man – one who’ll be revealed as Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) soon enough.
In the meantime, Jason called Britt and let her know he was coming over. Britt seemed giddy with anticipation as she quickly cleaned herself up along with the hotel suite.
However, Britt could tell something was off upon Jason’s arrival. She pushed Jason to spit it out, so he admitted he was marrying Carly.
Jason explained this Carly development was what was best for the family as well as the two of them.
Britt wondered why she should be surprised since Carly always comes first for Jason! She angrily thanked Jason for the updates and tried to kick him out.
Jason stayed behind anyway and argued that he still wanted to be there for Britt, but she didn’t want his pity or support.
Although Jason wasn’t the kind of guy to think about the what ifs, he admitted they’d be in Britt’s bed right now if things were different.
Britt reminded Jason that he said he wasn’t good at what ifs and suggested she really liked that about him.
Britt pushed Jason not to lose that now and told him to just get out. A somber Jason left slowly as Britt stood alone crying.
Back in the Corinthos family living room, Carly told Jax, Michael and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) that she was marrying Jason.
Carly pointed out that Jason was Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) best friend and that Jason was the only one who understood what she’d been going through.
Carly suggested that they needed each other and acted like it was what Sonny would want, too.
There was plenty of shock and confusion, but Bobbie and Michael tried to be supportive.
An irritated Jax knew he couldn’t stop Carly anyway and didn’t intend to try.
Carly wanted to be the one to tell Josslyn about this, but Jax said he thought he’d just do what was best for his daughter.
Later, Jason returned home to Carly and Michael, so that gave Michael a chance to point out he didn’t have the whole story.
At the Metro Court, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) convinced Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to take her as his date to Cameron’s graduation party. Obrecht seemed content since she was happy in her romance and thought Britt was happy, too.
On the way out, Scott spotted Ava and mentioned that Nikolas never got in touch with his attorney about the divorce.
Ava and Nina wound up at a table, where Nina got the scoop on all the stalker drama and urged Ava to move in her spare room.
Nina also talked to Ava about being torn between Nixon Falls and Port Charles due to “Mike,” but she knew there was no future with “Mike” in PC.
