General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, July 29 Recap – Valentin Ready to Kill Peter – Dante Must Let Go of Lulu

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 29, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was ready to kill Peter August (Wes Ramsey) while Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was urged to let go of Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan). Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) also sang a lullaby to “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom), so here’s how it all went down.

At home, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) kissed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) right before Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) walked in on their close moment. Joss quickly headed out, so that left Cam to explain.

After Cameron admitted he was “kind of together” with Josslyn, Liz said they looked pretty together to her. Cameron was worried Liz might be mad, but she thought Josslyn was a sweet girl and pointed out he’d known her forever.

Liz was supportive and understood when Cam said he was used to going to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) with this sort of thing.

After Liz admitted she sometimes comes home from difficult days wishing she could talk to Franco, Cameron pointed out his mom could always talk to him.

Liz assured Cameron he could talk to her as well. She felt Franco would want Cameron to be happy, and Cam thought Franco would want the same for Liz.

After Liz flashed back to Peter drama, she told Cameron she still had some things to work through. Then, Liz would be as happy as Franco would want her to be.

At the Metro Court pool, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) interrupted Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) chat with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).

Spencer wished Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) were there since he would’ve loved to say hello.

When Ava’s face fell, Spencer pretended he was sorry and asked if Avery was still living with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

After Ava told Trina to put whatever nonalcoholic drink she wanted on her tab, she headed to the Metro Court bar. Once Spencer was alone with Trina, he wondered what they should charge for Ava’s account.

Trina suggested Cassadines could afford their own drinks, so Spencer talked about all the perks of the castle – including the state-of-the-art sound system.

When Trina asked if that was an invitation, Spencer wondered if she was accepting.

Josslyn arrived to quiz the pair about what they were talking about, so Trina claimed Spencer just offered to throw them a party.

Cameron showed up next and agreed Spencer was supposed to be the guy without limits. Spencer ultimately decided that whatever Trina wanted, she would get.

Trina gave Spencer the chance to back out, but he insisted she could get ready for the “biggest rager” Port Charles had ever seen.

Once Spencer was gone, Cameron and Josslyn told Trina about Spencer’s tendency to exaggerate.

They thought Spencer needed to be incredible all the time – sometimes to the point of obnoxiousness.

Trina felt like Joss and Cam were trying to warn her away from Spencer. Cam joked that it wouldn’t be a bad idea, but Josslyn had a no-judgment policy and assured Trina she’d support her no matter what.

Meanwhile, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) found Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) at the Metro Court and learned Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) new facility.

Sam found that troubling, but Nikolas assured Sam that Ryan wasn’t a threat in his current condition.

After talk turned to Sam’s new case, she wanted Nikolas to help find out who really shot Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).

Nikolas suggested there was nothing he could do and advised Sam to stop looking for Hayden unless she wanted trouble arriving on her doorstep.

Nikolas joined Ava next and realized she seemed somber. Ava admitted she was just reminded that she couldn’t be with her daughter until after the divorce.

Nikolas offered updates on his run-in with locked-in Ryan before Ava broke down over how much she missed Nik and Avery.

Nearby, Spencer didn’t look pleased as he spied Nikolas and Ava hugging.

At Liz’s place, she got a visit from Sam. They discuss the Fourth of July drama before Sam admitted she was there to seek information on Hayden.

Liz recalled confronting Nikolas about being behind Hayden’s shooting, but she stayed tight-lipped about that to Sam.

Since Liz couldn’t offer any helpful info, Sam left with a promise that Liz would be her first call if she learned where Hayden was.

Once Liz was alone, she dialed Nikolas’ phone number and angrily summoned him to talk about Hayden.

At the Quartermaine mansion, there was talk about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) upcoming birthday.

Valentin confirmed he’d be there before bidding farewell to “Bailey,” who was in Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) arms.

As Valentin was heading out, he helped Harrison with a dropped birthday present. Valentin admitted he owed Chase an apology.

Valenton was sorry for delivering Peter to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and for turning a blind eye to Peter’s bad traits until it was too late.

Chase argued that Valentin had plenty of things to be sorry for, but this wasn’t one of them.

Chase didn’t blame Valentin for being in that wheelchair and pointed out that at least almost dying sped up his relationship with Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen).

Valentin admired Chase’s positivity and once again expressed his regret for his part in the damage as he left.

In the living room, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) praised Brook Lynn for being so good with the baby.

Olivia assured Brook Lynn that it was OK to be vulnerable and let herself feel the overwhelming love a mother had to give.

Once Brook Lynn was alone with “Bailey,” she suggested they should keep their arrangement strictly professional.

Brook Lynn told “Bailey” it was better if neither of them got too comfortable. She thought “Bailey” should save those adoring eyes for her real mother.

“Real mother? What do you mean by that?” Chase asked as he wheeled himself in.

Brook Lynn covered that she didn’t feel like “Bailey’s” real mother, but Chase thought she was selling herself short. He opened up about going through the motions and feeling like he was faking his optimism with Willow.

Chase eventually asked if he could hold “Bailey,” so Brook Lynn gladly handed her over. After Chase sang a sweet lullaby, Brook Lynn shared another moment alone with the baby.

Brook Lynn suggested she’d tried not to get attached, but “Bailey” had grown on her. Brook Lynn questioned who wouldn’t fall in love with a face like that!

At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, Dante showed up and accused her of holding out on him. He thought they were sharing information and wondered what changed.

Anna feigned innocence and found out most of the fingerprints that had been found so far were unusable.

Traces of Peter’s blood were also found in the elevator and GH corridors. After Dante suggested Peter was still out there, he had a prickly run-in with Valentin on his way out.

Once Anna was alone with Valentin, she admitted she hadn’t shared everything with Dante. Anna filled Valentin in on Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) claims of killing Peter and stashing the body in the sub-basement freezer.

Anna also informed Valentin that the body was missing, so Valentin thought the most likely option was that Peter was alive.

Anna held out hope that Peter was dead since it’d be a relief to know she didn’t have to be the one to kill him.

Valentin thought that’s how they were different. “I’m ready to kill Peter myself,” Valentin said. “I want him dead and buried where he’s no longer a threat to anyone I love.”

Once Dante headed to the Quartermaine mansion, he talked to Olivia about taking Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) to see Lulu within the next couple days.

Olivia eventually admitted that every time Dante saw comatose Lulu at her facility, it cost him.

Olivia warned that a job didn’t equal a life, but Dante argued that Lulu was his life.

After Olivia brought up Sam and the spark she’d witnessed, Dante grew uncomfortable.

However, Olivia felt like if Lulu were there, she’d want Dante to stop moping around and start living again.

Dante confessed it was tough, but he thought maybe he did need to start thinking about letting go of Lulu. He just wanted Olivia to butt out when it came to Sam!

General Hospital spoilers say Dante and Sam’s bond will grow stronger in the coming weeks, so don’t miss what’s in store.
