General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 11, reveals that Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) continued to mull over their money woes at The Tan-O.
A man entered that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) immediately seemed to distrust – an old friend of the Caulfields named Elijah Crowe.
Elijah was introduced to “Mike” and wondered what his last name was, but Sonny replied that it was “just Mike.”
After Elijah made his spiel about how dangerous the area was becoming and how the population would go down, he argued that he could help Phyllis and Lenny out since he was a big developer.
Sonny found all of this suspicious, so Elijah admitted he did come there with an agenda. However, Elijah felt it would benefit Lenny and Caulfield. Elijah wanted to buy The Tan-O and let them continue to run it until they decided to retire.
Elijah insisted he would provide financial backing for the time being and encouraged them to think of him as a silent partner.
All Lenny would agree to do is consider it, but Sonny wondered if they were really selling the bar after Elijah left. Although Sonny didn’t like Elijah, Lenny called him a “good egg” and insisted Elijah just had an intense personality.
Sonny confirmed that his card game was on and had to rush off, but he urged Lenny not to decide anything until he got back.
Back in Port Charles, Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) comforted Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and helped out with things around the house.
Later, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) arrived to give Liz a cup of coffee and repay the kindness that was shown to Sam when she went through a rough time.
As Sam and Elizabeth talked on the sofa, Sam assured Liz that she would pass along anything she heard through her PCPD connections.
It dawned on Elizabeth that Sam didn’t know about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) involvement, so she insisted Jason killed Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Sam got rattled and asked if Liz was sure that Franco hadn’t… That offended Liz, who felt like Sam was going to say Franco might’ve done something to deserve getting killed by Jason. Sam eventually excused herself, though she let Elizabeth know she was truly sorry before she left.
In the Corinthos kitchen, Jason assured Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that he didn’t kill Franco. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jason admitted he’d never known what to do about Franco – not since he came back to Port Charles.
All Jason had been able to do was respect Liz’s decision to build a family with Franco and the boys.
Carly refused to lose Jason, but he argued that it was in the cops hands now. Either the evidence would be there or it wouldn’t. Jason talked about a meeting with the five families that was coming up.
He insisted he had to be there since no one else could. Jason also admitted he had another suspect in mind with a strong motive for killing Franco – and that was Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
At GH, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) shocked Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) by insisting that Franco was alive! Cam argued that Jason had helped Franco fake his death and wanted help to prove it.
In a moment alone, Josslyn and Trina expressed concern about Cameron creating this alternate reality to deal with his grief. However, Joss felt like they had to help Cameron explore this dead end so that he would let go.
Later, an attempt to long on the hospital’s computer system proved futile. Josslyn had another way to prove whether Franco was dead or alive, so she grabbed a hospital badge.
Nearby, Terry spotted the teens lurking around and called Elizabeth to fill her in. Trina and Josslyn were able to distract an employee in the morgue by faking a medical crisis.
That gave Cameron a chance to sneak in the morgue alone, so he found the drawer Franco’s body was stashed in.
Cam mouthed a prayer and closed his eyes tightly before lifting the sheet on Franco’s body. When Cameron saw Franco’s pale corpse, he was hit with an intense wave of grief and cried as he sank to the floor. Elizabeth soon arrived to comfort her son over the confirmation of Franco’s death.
Back with Sam, she found Jason at the Corinthos home and admitted she wanted to hear straight from him how things went down with Franco. Jason assured Sam of his innocence, so Sam was satisfied – though she was sorry he was being blamed and warned Jason to be careful.
At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment on Friday’s General Hospital episode, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) woke up late and learned Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) was off at breakfast with the nanny.
Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) showed up and claimed he figured Chase would know where Finn went.
After Chase excused himself to shower before work, Finn doubted that Gregory was really looking for him. Gregory admitted he wanted to see his boy, so Finn was uneasy about the possibility of Gregory telling Chase that Finn could be his biological father.
Gregory insisted that Chase would always be his son – no matter what the DNA results said. He also argued that Chase wouldn’t be told unless they knew for sure – and even then, they’d need to give it some thought.
As Chase and Gregory argued about the buried secret with Jackie, Chase reappeared where they couldn’t see them and watched suspiciously.
Soon after, Chase got a phone call and joined them back in the living room. Once Chase hung up, he filled Finn and Gregory in on Franco’s murder.
Finn decided he’d better go check on Elizabeth, so Chase passed him his phone – and that’s when he saw 12 missed calls from Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) and a text about DNA results being in.
Chase went into detective mode as he wondered why Finn was getting DNA results. He didn’t buy Finn’s excuse that it was about work since Finn’s an infectious disease specialist. Plus, the results came from the patient portal, so Chase wanted the truth.
Jackie and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) bonded over secrets and regrets before Jackie made her way to Chase’s apartment. When Jackie arrived to find the argument in progress, she announced that they couldn’t keep doing this.
