General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, March 18 Recap – Gladys Eyewitness Against Jason – Peter Trapped in Cemetery

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 18, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ranted at Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) for arresting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At the PCPD, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) eventually arrived and scolded Carly for coming down to the station with Jason.

While Jordan was out of the room, Diane noted that Jordan doesn’t make arrests that she doesn’t think will stick. Diane added that whatever new evidence Jordan had, they needed to get ahead of it because Jason could be in serious trouble.

After Diane warned that Jason could be held without bail, Jordan returned with an evidence bag. It contained a gun that Jason claimed he’d never seen before, but Jordan insisted that ballistics confirmed it was the gun that killed Franco – and that an eyewitness saw it in Jason’s hands.

Diane protested that there was no gun in Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) statement, but Jordan wasn’t talking about Liz.

Jordan noted that Jason stepped out in the corridor to make his 911 call – and that gave him enough time to dispose of the murder weapon in a nearby garbage shoot. There was a witness that confirmed Jason did just that.

Over with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), she went on a tirade about Carly being “selfish to the core” and alluded to doing her “civic duty.” Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was puzzled by what Gladys was getting at, but she argued that she did the people of Port Charles a great service.

Gladys flashed back to telling Jordan about having a short-term rental near the scene of the crime. She claimed to have put together what she witnessed after a news report on TV.

Gladys lied that she saw the suspect come out of the studio before he dropped the gun in the garbage shoot and went back inside.

After Gladys looked at some photos, she told Jordan that she’d know those cold eyes anywhere. “That’s Sonny’s guy.” Gladys was the witness who identified Jason for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and led to his arrest.

Back in the present, Brando insisted that Gladys wasn’t even in town. Gladys reminded Brando that she came to Port Charles a few days prior and was working up the nerve to come see him.

Gladys argued that the police confirmed that – and swore on Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) grave that her claims were true. Gladys felt that Jason was a menace and that the streets would be safe without him.

Jordan refused to name the witness to Diane, but she let her know she’d find out everything she needed to know in discovery. “See you in court,” Jordan said as she sauntered out on Thursday’s General Hospital episode.

At GH, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) wanted to have a tea party back at Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) and begged her daddy to go there. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) suggested one in his hotel room the next day instead.

When Anne appeared, Violet hugged her and insisted she still wanted Anna to marry her daddy – just a secret wedding this time without all the guests.

After Finn sent Violet off with the nanny for hot chocolate and scones, he had a private conversation with Anna in his office. It was evident that Anna and Finn still loved each other, but they could reach an agreement.

Finn needed no more lies or secrets between them, but Anna couldn’t make that promise – not on things that might put Finn and Violet in danger.

Anna offered to quit at the WSB, but there were always going to be pieces of her past that followed her. Finn noted that the secrets took a toll on him and made it easy to be tempted to reach for a needle or pill. Finn felt his sobriety was particularly important now that he had Violet to think about.

Anna wholeheartedly agreed before they eventually came to terms with their breakup. Finn wanted to find a way forward with Anna, but he just didn’t see one.

After Finn said he’d made arrangements to get his belongings as well as Violet’s from Anna’s place, they hugged with tears in their eyes. Anna and Finn agreed that they’d changed each other – just not enough.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) showed up to see Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) again. Chase opened up about everything he was feeling in the paternity aftermath, and Willow pushed him to talk to Finn.

Although Chase didn’t see why he should make the first move, Willow suggested Finn might repeat his mistake of putting distance between them if Chase didn’t.

Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) caught up with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the gallery to apologize. If there was a way to get back on track, Jax wanted to take it. Nina wasn’t receptive to Jax’s attempt to secure another chance.

At GH, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) argued about Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who Valentin thought was a lost cause.

Britt wondered if she was a lost cause too considering who her parents are. As they argued, Britt grew frustrated over her hand tremor and slammed her hand on the desk.

Later, Britt brushed off Valentin’s attempt to help. Once Britt was alone, she called about the appointment she set up and learned it was being rescheduled. Britt was upset and insisted she needed to see the doctor now!

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) came home to find pregnant Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and warned her not to tell Valentin.

Although Brook Lynn felt Olivia was the “queen of secret babies,” Olivia argued this was different since Valentin was smarter than Julian Jerome (William DeVry) and far more duplicitous.

At the cemetery, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) said it was time for a permanent Peter solution and ultimately clicked the pen to trigger Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Dante listened intently as Obrecht described how he’d complete the mission, which was to assassinate Peter.

Liesl handed over Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) phone as a way to lure Peter into a trap. She gave Dante the gun he should use and instructed him to toss it in the harbor after Peter was dead.

If the authorities questioned Dante, he was to tell them he was acting on Dr. Warren Kirk’s (Jamison Jones) orders.

Obrecht made sure Dante understood his directives before assuring him that he’d be protecting Maxie and others in Port Charles. As Dante remained in a hypnosis-like state of programming, Liesl insisted he wouldn’t be troubled by Peter’s death.

Liesl maintained that Dante must complete the mission, so he repeated it back to her.

Later, Valentin looked surprised to run into Brook Lynn and her baby bump outside Kelly’s. Inside the restaurant, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) taunted Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about Jason’s arrest.

When Peter got a text from Maxie about meeting in the cemetery to talk, he was encouraged and showed Sam.

Once Sam was alone, she frantically tried to call Maxie and warn her not to do this. Across town, Peter made his way to the cemetery, where armed Dante informed him that Maxie wasn’t the one who texted – Dante did.

As other GH info comes in, we’ll deliver updates. General Hospital spoilers say Dante and Peter’s showdown will continue as the week wraps up, so stay tuned! CDL will have other fantastic General Hospitals spoilers, updates and news for you, so pop back in soon.
