General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 4, reveals that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) punches Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) for kissing Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) while Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) accused Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) of ordering Naomi Dreyfus’ (Gigi Bermingham) murder.
At the gallery, Ned found Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) checking out some animal photos on her tablet. Trina and Ned discussed how these photos were part of the National Geographic Photo Ark project before Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) joined them.
Trina pitched the idea of holding the exhibit there since Ava had been urging her to put together an event like that. It would give Trina extra credit in art class – and Ava admitted she loved her enthusiasm. However, Ava wasn’t sure they could find someone to underwrite the event fast enough.
Fortunately, Ned was still there and offered to make a big donation in Olivia’s name since she loved animals. Ava also found a painting she thought Olivia would like, so Ned took that as a surprise for her office.
The surprise turned out to be on Ned when he entered the Metro Court later. Once drunk Olivia opened up to Robert about her problems, she gushed over their adventures and easy connection.
Olivia wound up planting a steamy kiss on Robert right as Ned got off the elevator with the painting.
Ned marched over and decked Robert, so Olivia chewed her husband out for escalating things to the level of assault.
After Ned acted like they weren’t on the same page about the effort they were putting into saving their marriage, he left the artwork behind and stormed out.
Olivia uncovered the painting and looked heartbroken over the sweet gesture. She ran out of the room crying and left Robert there looking bewildered.
After Nikolas got permission to use the gallery’s backroom, he had another argument with Shawn. Although Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) may have forgiven Nikolas for the hit, Shawn pointed out that Naomi was dead and thought Nikolas was behind it to cover his tracks.
Nikolas repeatedly denied having anything to do with what happened to Naomi. After Nikolas alluded to ways of clearing Shawn’s name, Shawn agreed to accept the offer with an extra zero and vowed to put it to good use.
Later, Nikolas reassured Ava about the business he was dealing with. In a private moment, Nikolas called Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) number and left a voicemail since he needed to know if Victor was responsible for Naomi’s death.
At GH, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) found out that Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) was in the ICU after nearly dying from a brutal assault.
Meanwhile, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up at The Savoy, where she filled Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in on all the Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) drama.
Dante eventually showed up and mentioned that Joey had been beaten to a pulp a block away. He didn’t think Curtis had anything to do with that, but he had to ask about his whereabouts anyway.
Curtis had security footage to back up that he was right there at the club. He recapped what happened before he pointed out that Joey had already made one enemy. Dante didn’t think it was wise for Curtis to get caught up in any of that.
At Spring Ridge, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) dropped Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) off for her late-night shift. Esme started her internship while Spencer confided his trust fund and new job issues to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Alexis suggested money wasn’t everything and didn’t think Spencer should go to Nikolas for help. Most of all, Alexis thought Spencer needed to avoid turning into his father.
At GH, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) insisted on being present while Victor and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) interacted. Victor promised he was telling the truth about Valentin being his son.
Valentin suggested Victor should want to protect his granddaughters then – and that meant taking down Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Victor had things to accomplish that couldn’t be done from behind bars, so he refused to give up his leverage and still wanted his immunity deal.
Back at Spring Ridge, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) talked to Esme about the cult she was caught up in. Esme thought Harmony made her mistakes for a cause she believed in, but Harmony denied that.
Instead, Harmony thought she’d been part of a racket game designed to feed David Henry Archer aka Shiloh’s (Cory Ryan McLaughlin) ego. Harmony argued that if someone tried to tell Esme her life’s purpose, she should run for the hills and never look back.
Esme signed the necessary forms to begin her internship and moved some chess pieces on a nearby board. She called out checkmate before cornering nearby Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) alone.
Esme admitted their plan had run into a bit of a snafu, but she reassured him about taking care of everything and clutched his hand.
General Hospital spoilers say Esme and Ryan have plenty of tricks in store, so stay tuned.
