General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, October 21, teases that Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) will offer a warning about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) – and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get a big idea. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will also side with bitter Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), so Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will have to explain her Nina stance.
First, let’s talk about Nina’s attempt to move on with her life. Phyllis won’t be so sure Nina can truly put Sonny in the rearview mirror – and she won’t think Sonny can really do that either.
Phyllis may warn against pretending Nixon Falls didn’t happen. There was a very real and powerful connection between Nina and Sonny during their time together.
Phyllis may argue that they’ll both regret it if they just ignore that and each other from now on.
Nina will counter that Sonny made his position crystal clear. She’ll think she knows exactly where she stands with Sonny, but Phyllis may argue that even Sonny doesn’t know that! This is a big mess that’s brought uncharted territory for all parties involved.
Nina should once again apologize for deceiving Phyllis since her actions led to the fire at The Tan-O. She’ll wish there was a way to make things right – and maybe there is on some level.
GH spoilers say Nina will suddenly feel inspired. She’ll get some exciting idea and run with it, so that could involve seeking ownership of Charlie’s Pub as a bar replacement for Phyllis.
Sonny will meet with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) at the same restaurant, so they’ll try to nail down a new Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) custody agreement.
We might see Sonny cross paths with Nina or at least hear about some revamped Charlie’s Pub plans.
Sonny might have a similar idea since we know he’ll make an offer for the pub eventually.
That might even be something Sonny tries to bargain with since Ava will want more Avery visits. Whatever the case, Phyllis should end up with a fresh-start bar down the road.
In the meantime, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will remain in a foul mood over his legal situation.
Spencer will feel like maybe Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has thrown in the towel when it comes to his wayward son, but Nik will completely disagree.
Nikolas will just be looking for Spencer to truly reform and get on a better path. Of course, the pot’s calling the kettle black since Nikolas has done some awful things and continues to lie as part of a cover-up.
Nikolas was behind the hit on Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig), so he needs to own up to his own mistakes as well.
Spencer can be stubborn like his father, so Nikolas may not make as much progress as he would like. Sonny will also seek out Spencer before he heads in front of a judge for his arraignment.
Despite Sonny’s anger over how everything went down, he’ll likely show Spencer some much-needed support.
Speaking of support, Carly will be firmly in Michael’s corner when it comes to Nina and his concerns about her.
Carly won’t want Nina anywhere near Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) either, so she might offer an argument similar to Michael’s initial one.
Michael was on board with a court battle before Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) talked him out of it.
Willow may have to talk Carly out of one as well since there’s just no need unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Carly will refuse to let Nina bully her way into spending time with Wiley, but Willow may argue that Nina hasn’t been pushy about it yet.
If everybody takes a step back and just lets the situation breathe a bit, maybe there’ll be a peaceful way forward – at least that’s how optimistic Willow will feel!
Willow won’t realize Michael has another cold strategy in mind. It seems the reason Michael was willing to nix the court battle is because he plans to throw Nina behind bars!
Michael made a sneaky phone call and arranged to have Nina prosecuted for a crime in Pennsylvania if it all works out.
Of course, Michael will want to keep that plan under wraps for as long as possible. He hid the nature of his phone call from Willow and should continue to do so.
Nevertheless, Willow will fear that big trouble could be brewing due to Michael’s growing grudge.
Carly will get updates on Willow’s worries, but she may stand with Michael and argue that they’re completely warranted.
Next, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will be proud of herself. She’ll act like all’s fair in love and war, so she won’t have a problem with how ruthless she’s been lately.
Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will be up for a dirty fight if that’s what the Quartermaines insist on, but Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will hope for a more peaceful solution.
Unfortunately, Monica’s good intentions may not translate to Quartermaine tranquility anytime soon.
There certainly won’t be any tranquility when it comes to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) marriage.
Things will head downhill even further as Ned assures Olivia that he’s listening and still doesn’t agree with what she has to say.
Olivia and Ned’s views just don’t align when it comes to Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) and other crucial family issues.
Will Ned and Olivia’s relationship crumble beyond repair?
General Hospital spoilers say some romantic shockers are still to come, so keep watching.
