General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 7, reveals that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had a bio dad reveal for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was unmasked to viewers as Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) wounded gunman.
In Monte Carlo, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) passed along some Chloe Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman) and Drew updates after listening to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) message. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) got the scoop and realized Crete was their next stop.
Sam and Dante wound up talking about their exes, so Sam made it clear this mission was solely about finding Scout Cain’s (Ella Ramacieri) father. Dante also pointed out that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) moved on with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) before she fell into a coma.
Although Dante wanted to take things slow, he liked Sam and was very interested in seeing where their romance might lead. Sam was interested as well and got on board with plans for a date. Dante and Sam made out as they looked forward to wrapping up this case.
Once Anna realized Valentin wasn’t where she left him, she confronted the bartender she previously talked to. Anna didn’t buy the bartender’s story that Valentin left soon after she did and ultimately pinned him down to get some real answers.
After Anna spotted the Cassadine crest tattoo, she became even more worried. Anna noticed a masked gunman appear and told Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to move.
There was a major shootout that ended with the gunman dashing off after getting hit in the shoulder. Anna assumed Peter had sent someone after them – and once he was alone, programmed Drew took his mask off before examining his new injury.
Meanwhile, Valentin was bored in a fancy room until Victor finally entered. Victor explained that he’d underestimated Peter and desperately needed Valentin’s help, but Valentin understandably had trust issues. He mentioned that he wasn’t even a Cassadine by blood, but Victor felt the truth was staring Valentin in the face.
Victor ultimately revealed that he was the one who had the affair with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). He claimed to be Valentin’s father and acted like he’d taken care of things for him from afar – like when Valentin scored a spot at the WSB. Valentin seemed hesitant to believe Victor, but Victor was most concerned about taking Peter down right now.
Back in Port Charles, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) saw Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) at GH and inquired about her visit. Maxie mentioned that she was going to get Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) some flowers for BJ Jones’ (Brighton Hertford) birthday and filled Austin in on the heart transplant.
When Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) name came up, Maxie was quick to shut down the idea that they were friends. She explained her grudge over how Brook Lynn tried to come between Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and her actual best friend, now comatose Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).
Maxie and Brook Lynn seemed pretty friendly from Austin’s perspective. He also thought maybe Maxie should let go of her grudge since it’d be years.
Austin remembered Brook Lynn once telling Maxie that she was the bravest person she knew. That unsettled Maxie since it happened in the woods when Austin was supposed to be unconscious, but Austin claimed he couldn’t remember when he heard Brook Lynn say it. Maxie tried to cover by acting like Austin might’ve dreamed it up.
Once Brook Lynn brought Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) up to speed on Austin’s specialist suggestion for Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda), Chase pushed BLQ to hear the doc out. He didn’t think Austin would use a child as part of a scheme and noticed Leo was pretty shy.
Brook Lynn still wasn’t convinced that Leo was autistic, but Chase felt like it was worth looking into. Later, Brook Lynn cornered Austin to apologize and got him to admit he thought Leo might be on the spectrum.
As other GH news comes in, we’ll pass along more info. General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will turn the tables on Austin all over again soon, so keep watching! CDL’s where you want to be for fantastic General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so stop by often.
