General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, September 23, tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will tell Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that his marriage is over – and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will fear Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) broken promise.
For starters, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) still won’t be so sure his relationship with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is going to work anymore.
Nikolas will be willing to put in the effort and regain his son’s trust, but Spencer’s stalker secret will hang like a dark cloud over their bond.
Of course, Spencer hasn’t been acting alone – and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) has just confirmed Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) guilt in her own mind.
Trina now knows just how much of a team Spencer and Esme have been!
On Thursday, Trina will tell Cameron Webber (William Lipton) that she knows who Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) stalker is.
Trina will fill Cam in on why she believes Esme’s been helping Spencer drive Ava out of Nikolas’ life.
From there, it seems Trina will want to tackle one schemer at a time.
Trina will seek Cameron’s help in taking down Esme, but Spencer will get an exposure of his own as their plan continues.
Until then, Esme will be busy trying to gather information from Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
Since Esme seems obsessed with knowing all there is to know about Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), she’ll fish for answers from Kevin and perhaps raise suspicions in the process.
As for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), she’ll take Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) advice and start taking some responsibility for her actions.
Nina will tell Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that this is all her fault and spill the story of trying to handle Peter August (Wes Ramsey) on her own to keep “Mike” aka Sonny’s survival a secret.
Nina may also blame herself for Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) kidnapping, but Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) seemed pretty determined to make that happen no matter what! Even so, Nina will unload her guilt and hope Maxie can forgive her mistakes.
Next, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will talk about how he’s not the only bad decision Nina’s made. He’ll get updates on the extent of Nina’s deception and perhaps take part of the blame for pushing Nina down this path.
However, Nina has made some epic blunders and will have to face the consequences of her actions.
At the boxing gym, Britt will cross paths with Jason. It looks like Jason will explain how Sonny’s alive and admit that means his new marriage to Carly is suddenly over.
“How do you just stop those feelings?” Britt asks Jason in Thursday’s GH episode. It’s obvious Britt still has feelings of her own for Jason, but she’ll no doubt worry that he’s hung up on Carly now.
Of course, Jason loves Sonny as well and doesn’t want to get in the way of “CarSon’s” relationship, so he might argue that he can deal with the shocker and move on.
Jason might compare it to the way Britt coped with her Huntington’s marker confirmation and just suggest moving forward is all you can do.
Does this mean Jason and Britt still have a chance at happiness? Britt may protect her heart for now, but we’ll see if love might bloom again down the road.
Jason and Carly will continue to battle their feelings for each other, so that could complicate the situation.
Meanwhile, Sonny will trade his flannel for a suit that’s more his style. He’ll also make Carly a promise, but she won’t think there’s any guarantee he can keep it.
Carly may fret over what’ll happen with the mob now that Sonny’s back in the picture since it could be pretty dangerous.
Sonny may vow to stay safe and never leave Carly again, but there’ll still be some fears among his family members.
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll get a disturbing phone call. Will Peter taunt Anna or could it perhaps be Victor who contacts Anna next?
Could this be related to the discovery of Nurse Chloe Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman) instead?
Whatever the case, Anna will find herself feeling unsettled after this call and will no doubt fill Valentin in soon after.
