General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, September 30, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be ready for a Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) war and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will do damage control. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will also deliver a scary warning to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), though Esme may brush it off.
At Spring Ridge, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will pay Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) a visit, so that should give them a chance to chat about Sonny’s return – assuming the news has traveled that far by then.
Alexis will still feel like Shawn is holding back in some way, so she’ll push for some buried truth and react accordingly. When it comes to the Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) investigation, there may not be many new developments to report.
Nevertheless, Shawn should spill what he knows and get Alexis to weigh in on where the case stands. As for the case of Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) stalker, the trap that’s being set for Esme and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will go awry.
Phase one of the plan is already complete since Cameron Webber (William Lipton) lied about Ava’s trip with Nikolas.
Cam made it seem like ‘Nava” were going to celebrate not getting a divorce and fibbed about Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) booking Bora Bora plane tickets.
Josslyn then followed Esme to GH, where Spencer’s girlfriend is about to cause chaos with a lie of her own. Esme will act like she made a shocking discovery – one that involves Nikolas and Ava bolting with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Sonny will be grateful to Esme for filling him in, but this obviously won’t be the true story. Ava intends to set up her new base of operations in London and leave Avery as well as Nikolas behind.
Of course, Sonny will fall for Esme’s deception and march over to Wyndemere – even if Joss makes an effort to stop him.
Josslyn will eventually corner Esme to offer a warning now that she’s messed with Sonny. She’ll want Esme to understand that she’s playing with fire since Sonny’s the kind of guy who can unleash his fury in a big way!
Ava will pop in Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) office to tie up a few loose ends and get some guidance for the road.
Kevin may also do Ava a favor before she leaves for Europe, but she’ll wind up joining the Wyndemere drama in the coming episodes. The results of that upcoming confrontation should give Ava a reason to stay!
Back with Cameron, he’ll promise something that Spencer doubts he can deliver on. Cameron knows the secret takedown plan is going to hurt Spencer, but he’ll hope it’ll help in the long run.
Cam will keep an optimistic attitude, but Spencer’s on the verge of facing his reckoning day!
Across town, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will confront Jax for flying to Nixon Falls and trying to get through to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Carly will feel like the better choice would’ve been coming to her and ratting Nina out.
Jax won’t get any words of gratitude and will in fact be told to “go to hell!” Carly may rant about the delay and Sonny getting caught in the blaze at the bar.
Although Carly will mostly be mad at Nina for the secret she kept for so many months, Jax will get his fair share of her wrath.
While Jax apologizes and tries to undo some of the damage, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will mull over what’s ahead for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Monica will fear Jason’s battling heartache despite the brave face he’s putting on.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will grill Jason as well and wonder what the future holds for him now that Sonny has returned from the dead.
Jason will make it clear that Carly belongs with Sonny, but Ned saw the love at the “Jarly” wedding and may feel like it’ll be hard to just shut off how they were feeling.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) are headed for a reunion eventually, so there’s light at the end of the tunnel!
