General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) may discover Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is her true father. This could easily be the reason why Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) wants her romantic past with Curtis kept a secret.
GH fans know Curtis once did the math and determined that Trina was the right age to potentially be his daughter. With that in mind, Curtis decided to meet with Portia and push for the truth.
Portia was quick to insist that Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) was indeed Trina’s father, but she’s lied before and could be lying again.
Now that Curtis and Portia have decided to start dating, he thinks it’s important for Trina to know about their past together. Curtis believes secrets can be like ticking time bombs waiting to hurt people.
Curtis feels like the truth has a way of coming out, but Portia seems nervous and just doesn’t see the point in revealing she cheated on Taggert all those years ago.
However, Trina was able to forgive Taggert for faking his own death, which was a far bigger deal. Portia and Taggert haven’t been an item in quite some time, so it seems like Trina would understand.
It’s hard to believe Trina would hold some huge grudge over what Portia did with Curtis almost two decades ago.
Could there be another reason why Portia’s on edge over Trina finding out this information? Trina is a smart gal and will probably do the math just like Curtis did.
This could lead to Trina demanding answers about whether Taggert is her biological father. Trina might even get a DNA test behind Portia’s back!
Knowing Portia cheated back then wouldn’t be as heartbreaking as Portia lets on, but it’d be truly devastating if Trina found out Taggert wasn’t her bio dad.
It could destroy Portia and Trina’s relationship, which has taken a nice turn into an adult friendship kind of territory lately.
This could also blow all the progress Trina’s made with Curtis. It won’t be Curtis’ fault if Portia’s been lying all this time, but that doesn’t mean Trina would embrace him as her dad with open arms.
Trina could go back to hating Curtis just as an emotional response based on the need to side with Taggert.
There’d be some juicy drama to milk out of a story like this, so maybe GH writers will go for it. As other news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
