General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 31, reveals that Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) secret mob ally was revealed while a Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) flight clue came to light. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was also kidnapped while Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was doomed to be tossed off the plane.
On their turbulent flight, Liesl and Scott struggled to figure out what was going on. They realized the plane was turning around before what they thought were oxygen masks dropped down. It soon became obvious those masks contained a drug to knock Scott and Liesl out.
Obrecht put her mask on and lost consciousness before she could hear Scott blurt out that he loves her. Scott put on his own and lost consciousness as well before some foreign men barged in.
One of them confirmed that Obrecht had been sedated – and Scott was dragged toward the exit to be chucked out.
In Nixon Falls, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) admitted to asking if Peter August (Wes Ramsey) knew who he was. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wondered why Sonny would ask Peter that, so “Mike” explained Peter’s weird reaction when they first crossed paths.
After Nina assured Sonny that Peter wouldn’t be back, they got dressed for their first official date and met up once again. Nina was eager to see the surprise Sonny had planned for her and soon learned it was a romantic dinner he’d set up just outside.
Sonny couldn’t think of a better spot than the place they first met, so Nina seemed charmed over the thought he’d put into it.
Back in Port Charles on Tuesday’s GH episode, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) helped Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) prepare an elaborate dinner for Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
Trina raved over the sauce she’d brought home from The Tan-O, which she’d eaten half of with her mom.
Trina revealed that she’d frozen the rest of the jar and brought it to Josslyn soon after. Joss couldn’t wait to taste this amazing sauce, which Trina insisted would change her life.
After Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) made a pitch for why Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) should trust her to get the truth, she offered some new information on Naomi.
It turns out Naomi flew out of Paris, so Jordan hoped that maybe looking into where the flight originated from would help explain her murder.
At the Metro Court, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) continued to discuss Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) WSB file with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
They talked about Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) time in charge of the WSB as well as all the hostages who’d been held at Creighton-Clark.
Sam, Dante and Anna considered the possibility that the WSB had taken down Drew’s plane. There was talk about the WSB perhaps not getting all Victor’s allies when they cleaned house.
Dante thought maybe they were only seeing what someone wanted them to see in the file, so Anna suggested it’d be someone who could conceal the passenger’s name but didn’t have enough power to eliminate the record completely.
Sam and the others felt like the other passenger had to have a connection to Drew.
Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Carly that Jordan didn’t know about attacks specifically directed at them, but they were still concerned over Cyrus going after old enemies.
Carly and Jason eventually put together some clues to realize Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) must’ve been forced out of town due to Cyrus’ threat.
Although Carly was fearful about all their loved ones being at what could be a targeted wedding, Jason insisted they would have the best security.
Carly and Jason also figured out that Cyrus must’ve aligned with one of the five families.
They recalled their interactions with Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) and Mr. Buscema (Bart Tangredi) before deciding there may be a setup going on. Carly felt like the Novaks were going to make a move for their territory.
In the prison visiting area, Cyrus sat down across from Mr. Buscema and hoped he’d had a nice flight. He wondered what Mr. Buscema had for him.
In the woods, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) surprised Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) with his camping knowledge.
After Liz and Finn inadvertently took a dip in a nearby body of water, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) took charge of watching Aiden Webber (Enzo De Angelis) and Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) while Liz and Finn dried off – which led to some close moments huddled up together.
