General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 21, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) got a 30-day prison sentence while Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) alerted Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) danger.
At the Metro Court on Tuesday’s GH episode, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) brought Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) so she could have dessert and tea with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Violet thought it would be more fun if Finn joined them, so he caved in.
While Violet was checking out the gingerbread house nearby, Anna and Finn quizzed each other about their love lives. Things were awkward yet nice since the exes were in a good place.
Afterward, Finn took Violet to Rice Plaza for the tree-lighting ceremony. Violet was eager to see it lit up and wondered if her mom could see it wherever she was.
Finn wasn’t sure, but he hoped so. He was caught off guard when Violet mentioned wanting Aunt Liz aka Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to see it, too.
At Kelly’s, Liz ran into Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and gave him a big hug. They sat down for a conversation about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) death and how it’d been hard, especially so soon after the death of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Drew had compassion for Liz and her boys, especially Jake Webber (Hudson West). He ultimately admitted he was trying not to focus on the past and wondered if Liz had found someone special to turn the page with.
Drew realized there was indeed someone Liz had on her mind, so he reflected on loving and receiving love from Elizabeth once upon a time. He smiled and suggested the new guy was missing out.
At the hospital, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) was all set to play Santa for the kids when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) appeared. That left Kevin distracted by their reunion, which irritated Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) since the children were waiting.
Unbeknownst to Lucy, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) showed up wearing a Santa suit of his own and took over so Kevin could celebrate with Laura.
Lucy wound up sitting in Martin’s lap later thinking he was Kevin and urged “Santa Baby” to guess what she wanted for Christmas.
Although Lucy was shocked to discover Martin under Santa’s beard, she agreed to have dinner with him.
Laura also caught up with Spencer, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), who were volunteering as elves to help Santa.
Outside Kelly’s, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) cornered Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) to ask her advice on which bracelet to give Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) for Christmas.
Trina suggested giving Ava both options before talk turned to Spencer. She urged Nikolas to give Spencer what he really wanted, which was a second chance.
Spencer caught Nikolas talking to Trina and lashed out while Cameron went inside for the holiday treats they’d been sent for. That led to Cameron catching up with Drew before he spoke with Liz alone.
Cameron gave Liz a nudge toward finding happiness again so that his younger brothers could follow her example.
At Charlie’s Pub, Ava ordered a “filthy” martini before changing her mind upon Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) arrival. Victor convinced Ava not to cancel her order, so they sat at the bar and discussed Spencer.
Victor felt Spencer’s elders had to do what was best for him, so Ava took a dig about Victor doing what was best for Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) and her mom.
However, Victor pointed out that he was no threat to Ava – only to those who threatened the people they both love.
Since Ava was heading over to the tree-lighting ceremony, Victor insisted on going with her since danger lurks around every corner! He later got a call about Laura making it back to town and told Ava it was nothing he couldn’t handle.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Valentin brought Charlotte Cassadine over to give “Bailey” her gift. Charlotte knew they weren’t sisters anymore, but she still wanted “Bailey” to have it.
While Charlotte was strolling “Bailey” in the other room, Valentin sensed that Brook Lynn was sad and didn’t understand why.
Valentin brought up the ELQ shares drama, which led to Brook Lynn hinting at another reason for her paternity lie.
Brook Lynn suggested was trying to protect “Bailey,” so a concerned Valentin asked if “Bailey’ was in some sort of danger.
Charlotte interrupted and was ready to go, but Valentin warned Brook Lynn that their conversation wasn’t over as he left. Later, Anna joined Valentin and Charlotte for more dessert at the Metro Court.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn cracked open a bottle of a nonalcoholic drink that Yuri sent to Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). She shared it with Drew as they looked forward to better days ahead.
After filling Kevin in on the safe house drama, Laura expressed concern over Victor reentering the picture. Experience had taught Laura that when Cassadines play nice, that’s when they’re the most dangerous!
Once it was time to head over to Rice Plaza, Laura reunited with Nikolas and Ava. She also reluctantly greeted Victor, who had good news for Spencer since he’d worked out a deal to take care of his legal issues.
Spencer learned he’d have to change his plea to guilty and do 500 hours of community service as well as make restitution to the victim.
Victor also mentioned that Spencer would need to do 30 days at Spring Ridge, which shocked Spencer.
Nevertheless Trina thought it was better than spending one to five years at Pentonville – and Esme pointed out she’d be working at Spring Ridge so Spencer could see her all the time.
Spencer wondered if Laura could help him as the mayor, but they were interrupted since it was time to light up the big Christmas tree. There were some warm holiday moments as everyone gazed up at the beauty of it all.
General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will enter uncharted territory soon enough, so stay tuned.
