General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, February 9, tease that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) will return for a somber reason. As Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) funeral approaches, Kristina will want to remember her father and support the rest of her family.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will plan to be at the memorial service, but it looks like Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will decline to go with them. Alexis will argue that Sam, Kristina and Molly will be better received without her.
However, Sam and her sisters won’t want Alexis shutting out the world like this. Kristina, Molly and Sam will all work together to help their mom, so we’ll see if they make any progress with Alexis on Tuesday.
In the meantime, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will have an emotional conversation with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). “It didn’t have to be that way,” Olivia says in Tuesday’s GH episode.
Since Dante and Olivia will be dressed in all black for Sonny’s funeral, it’s possible Olivia will be talking about Sonny’s death.
Then again, Dante might quiz Olivia about her fractured marriage to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). Olivia could easily blame lack of trust as the root of their problems.
If Ned had trusted Olivia to be faithful to him or had at least given her a chance to explain, his hookup with Alexis could’ve been avoided.
Whatever the case, the General Hospital spoilers say Dante will give Olivia a pep talk and perhaps get one of his own. Olivia and Dante will work to there each other as they prepare to say goodbye to Sonny.
At Crimson, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will welcome Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) back to Port Charles. Phyllis was reluctant to leave “Mike” alone since he’s still adjusting to his meds, but he assured Phyllis that he’d be fine and would feel guilty if she didn’t take the trip.
On Tuesday, it seems Phyllis will find out the crushing details of Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) difficult life and tragic passing.
Nina’s looking for enough proof to warrant seeking her own DNA match with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), so she’ll hope Phyllis can pitch in.
“Do you think that you’d be able to recognize him?” Nina asks Phyllis in Tuesday’s preview clip. Nina may hand over a picture of Frank Benson (played by James Patrick Stuart) and see if it sparks a flash of recognition.
Phyllis might identify Frank as one half of the couple she gave Nelle to as a baby – further cementing what Nina knows in her heart: that Nelle is indeed her daughter.
Of course, it’ll be interesting to hear what Phyllis might share about “Mike,” who spoke to Nina on the phone. Nina seemed to recognize the voice on the other end of the line at first, but she quickly moved on and started discussing news about her daughter with Phyllis.
If Phyllis starts offering details about a man showing up with amnesia after a fall in the river, it could click the puzzle pieces into place for Nina. Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Nina will make a decision that’s followed by second thoughts on Tuesday.
Nina might decide to tell Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) her suspicions about Sonny’s survival and then back out in the end.
As for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), he’ll wonder if Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has thought any more about his proposal. Michael wants Willow to move in the Quartermaine gatehouse for her own safety.
GH fans will find out if Willow’s on board in Tuesday’s episode and see another close moment for “Millow.”
Next, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will catch up with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) now that she’s received updates from Carly. Joss knows that Jax was trying to protect Nina by hiding the truth about Nelle, so she’ll hold out hope that her dad can fix things.
As Josslyn continues to struggle with all the losses in her family over the past few years, Jax will offer some comforting words. He’ll want Josslyn to make the most of this life she’s been given.
Jax may argue that it’s what the people Joss has lost would want. He’ll think the odds are in Josslyn’s favor on something, so Jax may just mean the odds of surviving and thriving.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly will battle doubts about her choice to move ahead with Sonny’s funeral. Just before the service is set to begin, Carly will get choked up and tell Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that she doesn’t think she can do this.
Jason would respect Carly’s decision if she chose not to attend, but he may point out that her presence would offer comfort to the kids.
Perhaps Jason will remind Carly that Sonny would want them to go through with the funeral since it provides the best chance of keeping everyone safe.
At The Tan-O, it appears “Mike” will have a little more trouble with the cops.
“Bring me in or get off my case,” Sonny snarls in Tuesday’s GH preview video. Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) will actually prove quite helpful to Sonny, so he may intervene and smooth things over with the authorities.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Lenny will form a stronger bond as a result, so it’ll be nice to see this friendship developing between them.
