General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, July 6 Recap – Sam Burns Jason Keepsakes – Vincent Learns Carly’s Engaged

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 6, reveals that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) burned some Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) keepsakes to declare her independence while Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) learned Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was engaged.

At Charlie’s Pub, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was tickled pink over a surprise party. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wheeled Chase in before they were given bride and groom softball shirts.

Chase picked up on Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) connection with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), but Finn downplayed it and thought Chase was lucky since things were so uncomplicated with Willow.

When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) talked to Willow about Carly and Jason’s impending marriage, Liz and Sam overheard.

They were left reeling, so Liz followed an overwhelmed Sam after she stepped outside.

Sam and Liz wound up down by the pier, where Liz suggested using a technique Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) taught her about letting go.

After Liz started a fire in a barrel, she got Sam to throw in some old Bruce Springsteen tickets from a concert she never made it to with Jason.

Sam also reluctantly threw in her leather jacket and then put her dominoes set in the barrel, too. The dominoes struggled to burn, so Sam wound up tossing a tequila bottle in before flames erupted.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was on the hunt for Sam until he got a call about the fire. He headed down there after the fire department had put out the fire and found out Sam was declaring her independence.

Over with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) on Tuesday’s GH episode, she was surprised when Jason and Carly revealed they were getting married.

However, Joss was supportive once she took a moment to process it. She shrugged about them being friends forever and not knowing who else they’d marry.

In the park, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) forced Jake Webber (Hudson West) to have a heart-to-heart about how it was easier to be angry than grieve. The brothers ultimately patched things up in an emotional moment.

Trina ran into “Victor” aka Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) down by docks, where he was sunbathing. He invited Trina to join him, but she didn’t have a swimsuit to wear.

“Victor” suggested Trina could wear her birthday suit instead – adding that he would if she would. Trina had a better idea and suggested Victor could come to the park to meet her friends – fully clothed.

“Victor” was on board until he learned Trina’s friends were named Cam and Joss, so he said he was going to grab some waters and would catch up with Trina later.

Josslyn ended up filling Cameron in on the upcoming marriage at the park. Cam also wanted to talk about what was happening between them, but Trina interrupted again before they had a chance.

Trina eventually realized “Victor” probably wasn’t coming, so she took off to meet up with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). That finally left Cam and Josslyn alone to talk.

In Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) bed, she wanted to make sure Jasper “Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) hadn’t slept with her out of pity.

Jax insisted that wasn’t the case on his end and told Britt she was beautiful, so she said that was a good answer as things turned passionate again.

Britt got Jax laughing over previous Fourth of July chaos she’d caused before they opted to continue the celebration elsewhere.

Back with Jason, he gave Carly a gorgeous engagement ring and put a smile on her face.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) voiced her concerns to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) unhealthy fixation on the baby.

When Maxie showed up soon after, she realized Monica was acting weird and questioned Brook Lynn in private.

Brook Lynn revealed that Maxie was the problem and pointed out that she already arranged her daycare solution.

Maxie still didn’t want to be away from “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louse August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) over the long weekend and just couldn’t help herself when it came to her daughter.

Monica returned to once again find Maxie with “Bailey” and looked uneasy.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) ended up convincing Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to play with some sparklers outside. After Anna burned her finger a bit, Valentin kissed it and pulled her into a steamy lip lock.

Jason and Carly headed to the Metro Court after learning Vincent would be there.

After they arrived, Vincent said he heard about the unfortunate misunderstanding with his nephew. Vincent was hopeful that the families could continue to coexist in peace.

Jason suggested that if they’d known Vincent would be there, they would’ve asked him to celebrate with them. Carly flashed her ring as she revealed that she’d said yes to Jason’s marriage proposal.

Soon after, Jax and Britt came off the elevator laughing before they had a stare-down with Carly and Jason.
