General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 2 reveal that the waiting continued at the Metro Court. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) noted that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) looked unusually flustered as various attendees openly wondered where Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was.
Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) even wondered whether Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) had anything to do with the wedding being short a groom, but Robert insisted he had nothing to do with it.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) soon learned that Peter was missing, and she thought there had to be some sort of explanation.
In a remote room, Peter was gagged and unconscious on the floor. Up at the wedding locale, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) told Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was going bonkers, as Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) comforted Finn about Peter being missing.
Robert and Mac Scoripo (John J. York) also had words, with Mac worrying about Maxie’s devastation if Peter no-shows and Robert saying that Maxie was better off without Peter. That upset Mac, and he walked off.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) walked up to Robert and needled him about leaving Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to rot in Steinmauer.
Back with Maxie, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) reassured her that Peter would surely reach out to her soon. Anna suggested postponing the wedding, just as Finn walked up and Maxie suggested that Anna and Finn go ahead and get married first.
Privately, Finn told Anna that they should take Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) and elope. Anna said she couldn’t because of Peter.
Meanwhile, Valentin snuck up to Peter’s suite where he donned gloves and straightened up the room. Valentin made it look like Peter packed up and left Maxie at the altar, even leaving a note to solidify the story.
While he was doing this, Valentin flashed back to making this plan with Anna, so that Maxie wouldn’t try to follow Peter.
Down at the wedding locale, Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) discussed how it just wasn’t like Peter to run. Maxie walked up and wondered if Dante was relieved now that Peter was missing.
Dante tried to reassure Maxie, who walked off, and Dante decided to go look around for Peter.
Dante went to the garage of the hotel, where he called Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who was off with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan). Dante talked nicely to Lulu on the phone, hoping that she could hear him.
As Dante finished up his conversation, he heard noises coming from a nearby room, and when he finally got the door pried open, he found Peter tied up in the room, now awake.
Peter said that he didn’t know who did this to him, but that he had to get to Maxie. Meanwhile, at the wedding locale, Mac tried to get Maxie to make a postponement announcement.
Maxie insisted that Peter would not abandon her. A short ways away, Anna conferred with Valentin, who reported that everything went as planned.
Just as Finn and Mac were making the announcement to the group about postponing the wedding, Peter and Dante burst in the room. Peter explained to a relieved Maxie that someone jumped him, and Dante said that he found Peter in a utility closet. Anna and Valentin were stunned.
Chase and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) got to work investigating the crime, as Peter and Mac had a conversation about how Peter needed to keep Maxie safe from whoever was after him. Peter said that he’d do everything in his power to keep Maxie safe.
Anna and Valentin looked askew as all this was going on, as their plan had obviously been thwarted. Peter wanted the wedding to go on, and he urged Finn and Anna to take part in the double wedding.
Finn and Anna ultimately agreed, and Maxie and Peter gushed about how much they wanted to get married right now.
Finally, the wedding started, and once Anna and Maxie had each walked down the aisle and met their respective grooms, Lucy started the ceremony, saying some touching words and getting right to business.
Suddenly, Liesl burst in, saying, “Haven’t you forgotten something? You must ask if anyone present objects?”
