General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 16, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) realized he was being sent on a mission to kidnap Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) were also forced to make a video message while Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) went missing back in Port Charles.
On Cassadine Island, Drew was led out of the basement and called out to remind Jason of his promise.
Jason knew Drew would rather die at his brother’s hands than carry out any more of Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) horrible orders, but he assured Drew it wouldn’t come to that.
Meanwhile, Peter allowed Britt to reunite with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and acted like he wasn’t as cruel as everyone would have them believe.
In return for this little reunion, Peter insisted Britt and Jason were going to read a statement exactly as it was written for a video message.
After Britt joined Jason in the basement, she started reading Peter’s words about how she was being held hostage along with Jason and Liesl.
Britt was forced to say they were being treated fairly and would remain unharmed as long as Peter’s instructions were followed.
Once Britt read that Peter wanted justice for himself, Jason took over for the next part. He read that any rescue effort or attempt to capture Peter would result in all the hostages’ deaths.
At GH, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was back in his hospital bed, but he still acted like he was the best person to accompany Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to Cassadine Island.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) scoffed considering Valentin could barely go to the bathroom by himself, but Anna insisted she wasn’t going with either one of them.
After they all viewed the video message, Valentin finally urged Anna to go with Robert – though Valentin pointed out he could offer a way to get on Cassadine Island undetected.
After Anna made travel arrangements, she was hopeful about ending this Peter battle for good.
Back with Britt, she embraced Jason as he offered reassurance about what was next. Britt gave Jason the chariot tarot card, which was crucial to Drew’s deactivation.
As for Drew, he wasn’t activated yet when he learned he’d be returning to Port Charles to retrieve Maxie. Peter then planned to have Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) condition Maxie to reunite with him.
In a moment alone, Liesl admitted to Drew that she could indeed condition Maxie and that Peter knew she could.
Peter spoke privately with his guard, who was concerned about Jason’s restraints.
However, Peter brushed it off since they were heading off Cassadine Island soon. He ominously insisted Jason wouldn’t be coming with them.
At the gallery back in PC, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) demanded a controlling interest in Deception due to Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) little charade with Kip (Artie O’Daly).
Brook Lynn insisted she didn’t have the power to do that, but Gladys felt like BLQ should figure it out.
Over with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), she was nervous over Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) release.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) assured Ava that he wouldn’t let anything affect their relationship, but he left to do some investigating and tried to give Ava peace of mind.
Next, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) shared some nice moments of progress in their relationship.
They enjoyed National Geographic’s Photo Ark exhibit and chatted with photographer Joel Sartore while Brook Lynn was forced to watch Leo.
Brook Lynn turned her back to talk to an apologetic Kip briefly and realized Leo was gone when she turned around again.
Over with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), she admitted to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) that she accidentally found out their baby’s gender through a nurse’s email.
Sasha teased Brando with names that could be used for either gender. She eventually offered her phone in case he wanted to check her inbox and spoil the surprise for himself, too.
After Sasha headed for the ladies’ room, Brando checked the email and smiled with delight.
As for Gladys, she searched for somewhere private to make a call to Valentin and wound up in the backroom. Sasha had been dealing with some twinges of pain and decided to take a rest in there, too.
Brook Lynn opened the door looking for Leo, but she shut it just as fast and kept up her search.
After Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) dropped more hints about how close Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) were, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) argued Trina was honest and would never do anything to betray Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Esme suggested she hoped it’d be a night Trina would never forget and put the doorstopper in the backroom door thinking Trina was inside. Her goal was to stop Trina’s big speech, but Trina appeared in the main gallery area and did just what she was supposed to.
In the backroom again, Gladys had no cell service and was ready to leave along with Sasha, but they soon found the door was stuck. Sasha seemed uneasy as Gladys started yelling for help on the outside.
As for Brook Lynn, she frantically told Ned and Olivia that she turned her back for just a second and lost Leo.
Brook Lynn had looked all over the gallery, but the boy was nowhere to be found. That news left Olivia deeply concerned – and she definitely wasn’t too happy with Brook Lynn for losing her son!
