General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, November 9, teases that Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) life will hang in the balance while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) select a new faux father for “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).
On Cassadine Island, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will move forward with activating Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) again. He’ll warn that Britt is a goner if anything goes awry and will instruct Drew to murder Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) on the spot.
After Drew goes into soldier mode, Peter will flex his power with an unsettling demonstration. However, Jason should be able to outmaneuver Peter and will warn there’s going to be another ending to the story the next time they meet.
Jason will make it clear that Peter’s the only one who’ll be facing a grim fate – and GH spoilers suggest a deadly exit is indeed brewing.
In the meantime, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will continue to grab the attention of Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). It looks like Gladys will trash Brook Lynn for knocking Austin out of the ELQ shares he deserved.
Austin will try to uncover the Quartermaine dirt Gladys has alluded to and could make some progress on Tuesday’s show.
Of course, viewers know Gladys’ secret involves Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) not being the father of Brook Lynn’s baby. What Gladys doesn’t know is that Brook Lynn never had a baby at all!
Maxie will hope to keep it that way as she works with Brook Lynn on a new plan. They’ve recruited Kip (Artie O’Daly) the bartender to play a crucial role and hopefully throw Gladys off the trail.
The last thing Maxie wants is for Gladys to stir up questions and lead everyone to the truth, which is that “Bailey Quartermaine” is actually Louise. It could end in disaster if Peter finds out Louise has been right there in Port Charles all along.
Maxie will go over the story they’re going to sell with Kip’s help. Kip does acting gigs like this all the time and will have no problem playing a pretend father.
It makes sense that Kip will indeed play that part, but the next phase of Maxie and Brook Lynn’s scheme will head downhill quickly.
Next, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will get fed up over a discussion she deems unnecessary.
There’s a chance Carly will lash out over Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) somewhat gentle approach when it comes to Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).
The old Sonny would’ve moved heaven and earth to keep Brad locked up, so it may annoy Carly that he’s refusing to stand in the way of his release.
There wouldn’t have been any need to talk about this if Sonny had just blocked Brad’s parole.
However, it’s not like Sonny’s rooting for Brad’s freedom. Sonny has simply promised to let justice take its natural course for Ms. Wu’s (Lydia Look) sake – and they owe her a lot since her loyalty saved Jason and Carly from a deadly outcome.
Sonny will have to defend his decision to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who’ll think Brad needs to keep rotting in a cell for stealing Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends).
Speaking of Wiley, he’ll be at a Metro Court table with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) when someone shocking comes along.
Willow will exclaim that this character is the last person she expected to see there. It doesn’t look like Willow and Wiley are poised to have a Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) encounter just yet, so Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) might be behind this mysterious run-in.
Harmony’s birthday party appearance didn’t go over well, but she won’t give up on trying to form a bond with Willow and Wiley. Will Willow give her mom a chance to make things right?
