General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, October 12, teases that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will thwart bitter Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) forms a seemingly impossible plan. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also make peace – at least for now!
At the Metro Court on Tuesday’s GH episode, Jax will talk to Sonny about the completely different life he lived in Nixon Falls.
Sonny will be committed to rebuilding his life in Port Charles, but he won’t want lingering tension with Jax to be part of it.
Jax and Sonny will agree to a truce since it’s what’s best for Carly and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Unfortunately, Carly will have no intention of calling a truce with Nina! Jason will find out about a blunder Carly’s about to make and will leap into action to stop her.
It turns out Carly will have some sort of scheme in mind that could make Nina feel a sense of loss. However, we can’t forget that Nina’s losses are what started this mess!
Nina missed out on the chance to know her daughter, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) – and Carly kept quiet about their family link after Nelle’s death.
Carly also wanted to keep Nina away from Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) and now wants to again, so let’s not pretend Nina has come out of this unscathed.
Of course, Carly doesn’t realize Nina has lost her future with “Mike” as well, but that shocker will come to light sooner or later.
In the meantime, Carly will consider a vengeful takedown act. This could tie in with unleashing a scandalous story or somehow trying to get Nina fired from her position at Crimson.
Regardless, Jason will try to get Carly’s desire for payback under control. He may also offer a pep talk due to the guilt Carly feels over their big secret.
Sonny doesn’t know Jason and Carly’s marriage was going to be real, but it looks like Carly’s on the verge of coming clean soon.
Other GH spoilers say Nina will be taken aback when Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) arrives at Crimson.
Phyllis obviously doesn’t approve of the choices Nina’s made, but she knows life is short and friendships are precious.
Nina can’t go back and undo her mistakes, but she can try to learn from them and move on with her life.
The tricky part will be putting Sonny in the rearview mirror. Nina will insist she has to forget about “Mike,” but can she forget about Sonny?
“Mike” was an illusion, but Sonny’s right there in PC and clearly still feels affection toward Nina. Phyllis will wonder if Nina can truly put Sonny behind her – and Nina might wonder that herself when Sonny shows up later.
Meanwhile, a surprise guest will bring some drama for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) always seems to be lurking – just waiting to create more hurdles for her son and his “baby mama.”
Brando and Sasha may once again have to deal with one of Gladys’ messes on Tuesday’s episode.
At Spring Ridge, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will offer updates on Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) spooking Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) enough to leave town.
Shawn will fill in Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who may agree Nikolas could be the person behind the hit on Hayden.
Since Alexis loves Nikolas and doesn’t want to see him separated from Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) again, Shawn will offer to bail on the case.
Shawn cares for Alexis and won’t want to cause any unnecessary trouble, so he’ll be willing to back off if that’s what she asks.
Alexis will likely push Shawn to keep investigating and let the chips fall where they may. She might argue that justice is what’s most important, but that could mean bad news for Nikolas!
For the time being, it’s Spencer who’s found himself in legal hot water. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) looked pleased as the cops showed up to cart Spencer off in handcuffs.
Spencer will protest in Tuesday’s episode, but Ava will urge him to speak with an attorney and will let the police take it from there.
Spencer doesn’t have any money now that Nikolas has cut off his access to the Cassadine fortune.
That means Spencer will get a public defender – and an incompetent one at that! Spencer will worry he’s in big trouble without a fancy lawyer to get him off the hook.
Nikolas will return to Wyndemere and realize Spencer’s been taken into police custody, so he may wonder if that was really necessary.
Alexis seemed to get through to Nikolas on some level, so he might feel like having Spencer arrested was going a step too far.
Nevertheless, Ava will feel like actions deserve consequences. Ava won’t think Nikolas should be afraid to give Spencer some tough love, but he’ll fret over his son’s dilemma anyway.
General Hospital spoilers say there’s hope for Nikolas and Spencer to make amends down the road, but it should take some work to get there.
