General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 28, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) marched over to blast Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) stolen life. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also faced Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) bombshells, so here’s how the drama went down on Tuesday’s GH episode.
In Greece, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) convinced Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to take the night off from sleuthing and join him for some drinks. Valentin threw back plenty and was in a brooding mood, but Anna didn’t mind. It led to a conversation about the past and to getting honest about how they felt about each other.
Valentin eventually dove in for a drunken kiss, which Anna reciprocated before deciding he needed to sober up. After Anna sought coffee and water, she returned to find Valentin passed out on the table.
Once Anna made sure Valentin was safe in bed upstairs, she requested that the bartender pass along a message about her returning to the U.S. Consulate hospital. The bartender assured Anna that he would, but fans could see he had a Cassadine crest tattoo on his arm.
In captivity, Drew was shocked to see Obrecht, who was taken to his cell as his new doctor. Liesl revealed that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was behind Drew’s original abduction and that he’d now teamed up with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy).
Drew wondered what was in it for Victor and found out about Peter’s mission to find the daughter he shared with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Obrecht found out about Drew’s escape plot and was eager to do her part, so she told the guard Drew needed follow-up care due to potential kidney bruising.
Back in Port Charles, Nina seemed emotional as she showed up to visit Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends). She gave her grandson a car and talked to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as well as Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) about her stay in Pennsylvania ending.
Nina wasn’t sure whether she was back for good or not, but she was happy to see Willow and Michael had reunited. She was truly grateful for the second chance she’d been given to know Wiley. There was a brief discussion about Sonny’s return – and in a moment alone with Wiley, Nina talked about making up for lost time. She feared that might be all they had left.
As for Willow, she wondered if Nina seemed off to Michael. Nina appeared to be feeling lost, so Michael thought a visit with Wiley would lift her spirits.
In the Corinthos kitchen, Maxie eventually admitted that Nina had known about Sonny being alive for months. Carly pushed for details and grew increasingly angry along with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). They were furious over Nina stealing Sonny’s life out of spite.
Maxie did her best to downplay things, which irritated Josslyn. However, Maxie understood making bad choices and wondered if Carly was in the position to judge. Carly refused to give Nina a pass for something so horrible and was determined to make Nina face the consequences.
Soon after, Carly barged in the Quartermaine living room, where Nina was still enjoying her visit with Wiley. Nina gave Wiley a fist bump and sent him out with Yuri since Carly was clearly looking for a one-on-one confrontation. Carly then flew into a rage over Nina stealing Sonny’s life and warned the “bitch” that she was going to pay.
In the cemetery, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) offered Sonny some wedding explosion details, but he assured him that their hands were clean. Sonny found out Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was still a problem, but he smiled over the idea of Cyrus finding out his allies were dead from the bomb while Sonny was still alive.
Sonny felt like a winner and was practically on top of the world, so Jason had to bring up his bipolar disorder. Sonny realized Jason and Carly had discussed the matter in private, but he assured Jason that he was lucky since Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) was a nurse and got him on the right meds.
Jason still felt Sonny should get checked out since his Nixon Falls doctors were treating “Mike” the bartender, not Sonny. The conversation eventually shifted to Nina and how all this was her fault. Sonny explained the situation and surprised Jason, who didn’t feel like Sonny was angry enough.
Sonny didn’t want to waste time and energy hating Nina. He pondered the idea that maybe he just didn’t want to let himself sink to that angry place. Sonny turned his attention back to the gravestone, which he remained anxious to get rid of.
