General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 7, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) made an adoption revelation while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) came up with a plan to pose as Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) fake boyfriend. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) also vanished and left Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wondering where his bride-to-be was.
At The Savoy on Tuesday’s GH episode, Portia learned Curtis was working on a case involving Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) potential survival.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) joined them and found out Curtis was able to reach someone from the records office who was connected to both Creighton-Clark and the parent company.
Although Curtis had the address, he thought it was best for Sam to sit this one out since the guy might get spooked with too many people.
That was especially true since they were going to ask about confidential files. Curtis thought it was best for Portia to approach the man as a doctor – and he would fly under the radar by posing as her boyfriend.
On the patio of the Corinthos home, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) calling to ask all sorts of questions about the sauce.
Joss admitted it was a hit – though it was weird how it tasted identical to the sauce Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) used to make.
Talk turns to Esme, so Trina admitted she felt bad for disliking Esme when she’d been nice to her.
Josslyn argued that Trina shouldn’t feel bad at all since Esme was a “Bitch with a capital B.” She saw through the sweet version of herself Esme was trying to sell.
Trina also mentioned how odd it was that Esme referred to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) by her given name of Lauren. At the gallery, Esme paid Ava a visit and acted like she wanted to buy some artwork.
Ava assumed Esme must come from money, but Esme said yes and no since she was adopted along with her siblings because her parents couldn’t have children of their own.
Ava thought Esme must’ve had a happy home life, but Esme argued her adoptive parents’ love was nothing like what Ava and Nikolas had together.
Esme argued that it’d take something “uber extreme” to make Nikolas stay away. After Esme learned Ava had no pieces to sell, she took off.
That left Ava to make a phone call, which indeed set something extreme in motion.
By the Metro Court pool, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could tell Nikolas wasn’t having a very good time.
Nikolas revealed that it was about his divorce almost being finalized, so Esme could tell Spencer was feeling guilty later.
However, Esme argued that Spencer could learn to live with the secret of what he’d done. She thought that’d be easier than facing the impossible task of trying to live with Ava.
When Trina appeared, she picked up on the mention of Ava’s name and brought up how Esme had referred to Ava’s daughter as “Lauren” before.
Trina added that it was the name on Kiki’s badge, which was found near Ava’s torched car – and Spencer gave Esme a look.
Back with Nikolas, he was stunned when he was served with a restraining order that required him to stay 100 feet away.
Nikolas broke the rules right away and approached Ava in the gallery to confront her about it.
In Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) office, she looked over Naomi Dreyfus’ (Gigi Bermingham) flight manifest with Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
A phone call eventually brought a tip that the passenger next to Naomi was traveling with her since they booked their flight together.
Jordan had an address for this passenger, but she insisted on tackling tracking this person down alone.
Later, Jordan was taken aback when she wound up at the same house as Curtis and Portia – suggesting there was a connection in the Drew and Naomi cases.
In Port Charles again, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) had a pleasant chat with Carly and essentially offered her blessing on the marriage despite their past issues.
Jason also had what turned out to be a nice conversation with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) while waiting on his release from police custody.
They reflected on what Sonny meant to them before Dante got the phone call that allowed him to set Jason free.
When Jason showed up to pick up his suit for the wedding back at the house, he got some surprising news about Carly.
Josslyn explained that her mom was gone, so that presented a new pre-wedding mystery to tackle.
At The Tan-O, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was surprised to see building supplies all over the place.
“Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) explained that Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) wanted to fix the leaky roof and spruce the place up, so he ordered the supplies before his diagnosis.
Sonny thought he should honor what Lenny wanted by doing the renovations and hinted that Nina could help.
Although what they had could collapse if “Mike” found out who he really was, Nina admitted she loved him back and was willing to take this gamble.
After Sonny kissed Nina and had her repeat her love declaration a few times, they made plans for a night out in Philadelphia. When Nina exited the bar, she was floored to run into Jax just outside.
