General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, April 23, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will shift her strategy. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) isn’t listening to Nina’s attempts to drive him away, so Nina will have to think fast.
Since Nina wants to keep Jax away from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she’ll apparently suggest going somewhere else to have this conversation.
If Jax insists on talking, Nina will want to do it anywhere but at the firehouse dance! However, some danger’s looming thanks to that mysterious gunman. Sonny will fight to protect Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and everyone else at this shindig.
Once the gunman dons a bandana to cover his face and aims his weapon, Sonny will hope to handle this and make sure shots aren’t fired.
After Sonny warns the gunman to stand down, the situation will escalate instead. Sonny may dive for the gun and try to wrestle it away. There’s a good chance that’s when the trigger will be pulled – and Jax will land right in the bullet’s path.
General Hospital spoilers say Jax will get a double shock as he spots Sonny and then gets shot in the arm. Once Jax is rushed to the hospital, he’ll receive treatment and bring up the fact that he saw Sonny.
Nina will try to play it like Jax’s mind was playing tricks on him. She’ll insist that Sonny is dead and assure Jax that there’s no way he saw the mob boss in Nixon Falls.
Jax will struggle to shake his suspicions, but he’ll ultimately trust that Nina’s right. Nina will put out one fire, but another one will follow since “Mike” is such a caring individual. Sonny will wind up at the hospital, so it seems he’ll want to make sure Jax is on the mend and perhaps apologize for the stray bullet.
While Nina fights to keep Sonny out of Jax’s room, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will smile over a visitor he hasn’t seen in a while. Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) might show up at Statesville as part of the stabbing investigation.
Shawn isn’t guilty of the crime he was convicted for, but he just committed a new one for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright)! It was Carly’s idea to have Shawn stab Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so we’ll see how Shawn tackles the questions that are headed his way.
Next, hospitalized Jason will lash out over Carly’s plan and the lack of a heads-up. Carly told Jason to be ready, but she failed to tell him what to be ready for. Perhaps Carly will argue that if she’d come clean, Jason would’ve tried to talk Shawn out of his role in the scheme.
Jason may wonder if a stab wound was really necessary, but Carly will think desperate times call for desperate measures! She’ll let Jason know she’s sorry for the trouble, but she’ll feel certain this was the only path to safety.
Now that Jason is at GH, it’ll make it much easier to help him escape from custody.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will corner Carly and may express suspicions about this little stabbing stunt. Carly will keep fighting to make sure Jason stays safe, but Cyrus might toss a threat or two around in the meantime.
Other General Hospital spoilers Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will try to get her bond with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) back on track. Laura really does want to form a relationship with her half-brother, so she’ll try to get past the troubling revelations she’s faced lately.
Cyrus would love a chance to get to know Laura a bit better and become like real family members. Laura isn’t interested, but she’ll soon realize she may have to make a sacrifice.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will note that if Laura wants something from Cyrus, she’ll have to give Cyrus something as well.
Laura realizes things could spiral out of control now that Cyrus has control of Florence Grey (Annie Abbott). Since Laura needs a way to keep the peace, offering Cyrus the opportunity for a sibling connection is an easy solution.
Even if Laura isn’t really open-minded about this, she can at least pretend for the sake of PC residents’ safety.
At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will congratulate Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) at her request. Some amazing career options are about to become available to Molly, so she’ll want to celebrate and talk about the right path forward.
General Hospital spoilers say Molly will get some guidance from TJ as she looks to the future.
Over with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’ll want some help scoring Nina info. Valentin may think Curtis can help him track Nina down, but Curtis is out of the PI business and may suggest it’s up to Nina who she contacts.
Whatever the case, Valentin will also meet up with Martin and head to the Quartermaine mansion. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as backup during this meeting about BLQ’s baby, though GH fans know that baby doesn’t really exist!
Valentin will play hardball when it comes to custody rights. He’ll be willing to throw plenty of money around to protect those rights, so he’ll warn Brook Lynn not to test him. Valentin will present a deal pretty soon – and it’ll involve giving Brook Lynn’s ELQ shares back to her after the baby’s born.
Brook Lynn wants those shares, so she’ll know she needs to take this fake pregnancy a step further and offer up a baby at the end of it. Of course, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) just eavesdropped on Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) plan to fake her newborn daughter’s death.
The pieces will click into place for Brook Lynn once she hears about that plan in the coming episodes.
We’ll provide updates as other GH news pops up. General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn and Maxie will make a deal in the week ahead, so don’t miss what’s in store. CDL will have other thrilling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so make us your one-stop source.
