General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, April 9, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will score the prison visit with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) she’s been pushing for.
Carly will want Jason to know she’s working hard to get him out of Pentonville, but Jason will mainly be concerned for Carly and her family.
Jason won’t want her doing anything too risky, but Carly will be adamant about doing everything in her power to ensure Jason’s freedom. Neither of them can deny that it’d be safer with Jason on the outside.
Carly’s vulnerable without Jason as her protector, so she’ll keep fighting to prove Jason is innocent and hopefully take Peter August (Wes Ramsey) down instead.
Speaking of Peter, he’ll leave Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) on edge. Peter will let them know he’s onto them when it comes to Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and their not-so-sneaky strategy.
It’s obvious to Peter that Valentin’s trying to earn Gladys’ trust as part of a plan to exonerate Jason.
Peter will taunt Valentin about doing Anna’s dirty work and may threaten to expose Valentin’s angle to Gladys. Whatever the case, Peter will insist that Valentin and Anna will let this go if they know what’s good for them.
Peter will have a proposal to make, but it’ll just be his fancy way of delivering a threat. If Anna and Valentin don’t cooperate, innocent people could get hurt.
The thought of that will trouble Valentin and especially Anna, who’s worried about Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and the baby.
In the end, Valentin and Anna will determine that they can’t let Peter leave Anna’s house. Since they’ll fret over Peter doing more deadly damage, the best course of action here is to just make Peter their prisoner.
Peter will indeed wind up restrained in Anna’s basement, but he’ll offer a counterattack before long.
By the time next week rolls around, Peter will reveal an insurance policy he set up. If any harm comes to Peter or he pulls a vanishing act, it’ll guarantee the death of someone Anna loves.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is an option since Peter glared at him before having a lightbulb moment recently.
Nevertheless, GH buzz suggests Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) could land in a dangerous situation soon. Maybe Peter was really thinking about the leverage he could gain through Finn’s daughter. Regardless, Peter won’t be bluffing about the peril he has in mind.
In the meantime, Peter will be dragged down to the basement against his will. As for Finn, he’ll connect with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at GH – most likely on the topic of raising children.
Finn will beg Liz to tell him it gets easier, so he might face more of Violet’s questions and pleas to see Anna. It’s been hard for Finn to navigate things in the aftermath of his broken engagement.
Liz will give Finn a pep talk while Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) flips out over Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) troubling agreement. Ava hates Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and knows getting mixed up with him can only lead to drama.
Ava will urge Nikolas to ditch the deal now, but Nikolas can’t do that without angering Cyrus and putting Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at risk.
While Nikolas stands his ground and explains his reasons, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will have an explanation for her father. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will get updates on Josslyn being waitlisted at the college of her choosing.
Joss will be on a mission to show she’s worthy of being a student there, but Jax may fear his daughter’s putting too much pressure on herself.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will worry his dad might back out of the family dinner that’s on the way. Chase will ask if Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is having second thoughts, but Gregory may just need to open up about how he’s feeling ahead of time.
Gregory and Chase’s bond will remain strong despite the DNA test results, which were rigged by Cyrus. The truth should be a relief down the road, but it’s good to know nothing can break Chase and Gregory’s father-son connection – not even Cyrus’ trickery.
As for Laura Collins (Genie Francis), she’ll quiz Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) about his change of heart. Scott fully believed Jason was Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) killer until Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) came along and insisted Peter was the guilty party.
Laura will question Scott about how Liesl convinced him and may get the feeling those two are getting closer. Scott will undoubtedly want to be discreet about his hot rendezvous with Obrecht, but Laura’s bound to suspect something’s up.
We’ll deliver updates as other GH news pops up. General Hospital spoilers say Liesl and Scott could form a deeper bond down the road, so stay tuned. CDL will have all the sizzling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates you need, so make us your top source.
