General Hospital Spoilers Update: Friday, January 8 – Jason Under Fire at PCPD – Sasha Soothes Michael – Taggert’s Challenge

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 8, teases that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will want to have a little chat with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) pointed the finger at Jason over his mom’s kidnapping, Jordan will wonder what Jason has to say for himself.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will be there to monitor this line of questioning and pipe up when Jason can’t. Diane certainly won’t let Jason say anything incriminating, but Jordan will try to get some answers anyway. She might even suggest that abducting Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) isn’t a very Jason-like thing to do.

It might dawn on Jordan that it was a bold, impulsive move – one that a bold, impulsive gal like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) might make. Whatever the case, it looks like Jason will just stand there and play dumb for the most part.

Jason will hope he can keep protecting Carly and the rest of the Corinthos clan. Unfortunately, some difficult updates are ahead for Carly and her fam. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will relay the news that the New Jersey state police reached out to him.

Proof might’ve been located that points to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) demise. On the other hand, it’s possible no proof was found at all. Since Sonny fell in a freezing river and there’s no sign of him anywhere, the cops may tell Michael all hope is lost.

Perhaps the authorities will make it clear that they’re operating under the assumption that Sonny’s dead. Carly will naturally refuse to accept any outcome other than her husband returning home. She’ll try to keep hope alive, but that could get more difficult in the coming episodes.

As for Michael, he’ll lean on Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) as he faces the likelihood that his dad’s gone for good. Sasha will soothe Michael as best as she can, so they’ll have a chance to bond like they used to.

Of course, Sonny isn’t really dead. This is all part of a longer storyline that’ll play out with some major curveballs. GH fans will just have to hang in there and ride the waves!

At GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will think Cyrus needs to stop blaming others and look in the mirror. As far as Laura’s concerned, Cyrus played with fire and got burned!

Cyrus has resorted to some coldhearted tactics involving the families of key players in PC. Now that Cyrus has a family member in jeopardy, he’s flipping out. It seems like Cyrus can dish it out, but he can’t take it.

Next, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will battle his nerves as he enjoys dinner with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Chase may feel like he’s botching this meal together due to his anxiety.

It’s easy to imagine Chase blurting things out or knocking things over. Chase may admit he’s worried and just wants Willow to have a nice time. He’ll hope Willow can open her heart to the possibility of finding their way back to each other.

Chase knows he broke Willow’s trust, but he’ll probably vow to put in the work and rebuild it. Willow will appreciate the effort Chase is making, but her mind will inevitably drift toward Michael.

Despite feeling a bit closer to Chase again, Willow is married to Michael – and that’s changed her perspective. There’ll be tons of complications as Willow, Chase, Michael and Sasha try to figure all this out.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Marcus Taggert (Asante Jones) will mope behind bars, but Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will want him to snap out of it. Once Portia visits Taggert in lockup, she’ll urge him to reclaim his life and repair the damage he’s done.

Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) can get over the faked death plot if Taggert does his part to fix things between them. It’ll be a challenge, but Portia will push Taggert to tackle it – and he has to start by embracing life as a free man.

Over with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), he’ll seem jittery as he lands in Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) path. Since Peter won’t be watching where he’s going, it looks like he’ll smash into Sam or come close to it.

Peter will try to blow right on past anyway, but Sam will want some answers. She’ll quickly get suspicious over Peter’s haste and his weird attitude.

General Hospital spoilers say Peter will rip into Sam for grilling him on Friday. He’ll probably think Sam should worry about herself and let him handle his own drama!

Peter certainly has a lot to deal with now that he knows Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) could potentially remember incriminating Drew Cain (Billy Miller) memories.

Peter will have to brainstorm a strategy in case Franco indeed recalls more than he should. GH fans will see some shockers in the weeks ahead, so keep watching. CDL will have all the hot General Hospital spoilers, updates and news you’re looking for, so drop by regularly.
