General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 16, teases that a Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) survival bombshell will derail Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) date. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will also become a new stalker victim as Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) plots payback, so let’s discuss what’s ahead on Monday’s GH episode.
For starters, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will face more complaints from Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Jax will insist that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) needs protection, but he won’t think Carly’s offering any real solutions on how to make that happen.
Carly will think Jax needs to chill and trust that it’s being handled, but Jax will remain livid over the growing mob threat.
Meanwhile, Josslyn will head out on the turret of Wyndemere with Cameron Webber (William Lipton). Cam and Joss will share some lovey-dovey scenes while Spencer grows closer to Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
Trina appreciated Josslyn looking out for her with that warning she offered, but Trina has to make decisions for herself. Spencer and Trina will find reasons to grow closer through the crisis that’s about to go down at the big bash.
There’s a new stalker in town since Nikolas plans to pull a dirty trick and give Spencer a taste of his own medicine.
The plan seems to involve making Spencer think that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is crashing the party, so there’ll be a phone call and a hooded figure to help sell the charade.
When Ava Jerome (Maura West) goes to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) looking for his professional point of view, she’ll be surprised when he sides with Nikolas on a few things. As for Laura Collins (Genie Francis), she’ll reach out to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herst).
Liz has had a lot on her plate lately and will struggle to wrap her head around it all, so she’ll be grateful for Laura’s support.
By the Metro Court pool, Dante and Sam will laugh over stories about their kids. Since things will be going so well between them, Dante will have to ask if this is a date.
Sam may wonder if that’s what Dante wants – and it certainly is based on how much flirting has been going on lately.
However, this date night will be derailed by an unknown phone call. Drew is being held in a foreign prison, but he’ll somehow manage to get his hands on a phone and get a quick message to Sam.
Sam will recognize Drew’s voice, but she’ll be in a state of disbelief since she believes her ex is dead.
Even so, Sam will hear enough to follow-up on this distress call with an investigation. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news pops up.
