General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, July 26, teases that Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) recovery will be tested – and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will score Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) help. Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will also interrogate Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), so there’ll be some great interactions on Monday’s stunning show.
At The Tan-O, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will enjoy some fun banter with “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
They’ll catch each other up on what their lives have been like since they last saw each other, but Nina will obviously leave out important details as usual!
In Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will encourage Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to trust her instincts.
Liz knows Jason well enough to understand that he can be trusted and can get whatever she needs done. Jason will keep pushing Liz to confess the whole truth and let him help, so she’ll finally cave in.
Liz will explain how Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) death went down and fill Jason in on the dilemma she’s now facing with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
Jason won’t mind that Peter’s gone and certainly won’t judge Finn for taking the monster out. He’ll likely call on Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to take care of the security cameras and plan to move the corpse ASAP.
Next, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will tell Finn about the puzzle she’s put together. When Finn tries to interrupt and confess, Anna will push him to just listen. She won’t want Finn implicating himself in the crime, but she’ll let Finn know that she knows!
Anna will offer some pretty accurate speculation about Finn’s confrontation with Peter and how it ended in disaster.
Anna will probably remember how uneasy Liz was about the sub-basement and assume that’s indeed where Peter’s body is stashed.
Finn will offer some form of confirmation on Anna’s guesswork, so she’ll prepare to get rid of the evidence before the cops find it.
That means Jason and Anna will wind up on a collision course since they’re figuring this out at the same time.
Anna and Jason’s trip to the sub-basement is going to come with some shockers, to a missing Peter discovery should happen within the next couple episodes.
In the meantime, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) will face Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) big news. They’ll anxiously await word on which one will be GH’s chief of staff.
Of course, it could easily be both since Britt and Terry bring unique skills and talents to the table. It seems like it’d be a good idea to have Terry and Britt work as a team.
We’ll see Terry try to play nice with Britt in the coming weeks, so that could be a sign that they’ll be co-chief of staffs.
Britt won’t be thrilled if she’s forced to share the spot she previously held on her own. That could be one reason she’s cranky in Monday’s preview video.
Look for someone to listen in on Britt’s conversation and get verbally attacked as a result.
Shawn will also head to the Metro Court pool, where he’ll catch some rays with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) by his side. They’ll hang out until their target shows up – and it appears it’ll be Jax who gets ambushed.
Shawn will corner Jax to interrogate him about Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) disappearance, so this will be step one of following the trail back to Hayden’s shooter.
GH fans know Nikolas drove Hayden out of town with a bogus threat, but the bigger issue is that he hired the hit on her and caused her coma.
The possibility of getting caught will remain a concern for Nikolas, but he’ll fret over something else in the meantime. Nikolas will worry that the stalker issue won’t be resolved, which means he could lose Ava Jerome (Maura West) for good.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is the one who’s been causing all the drama, but Nikolas will remain in the dark on that for now.
At Spring Ridge, Alexis will taunt Ryan and wonder just how locked in he really is. She’ll put Ryan’s recovery to the test or will at least try to before she’s interrupted.
Alexis will get spooked when someone comes up behind her – and that someone will probably be Nikolas since he’s set to pay her a visit.
After Ava opens up about his desire to catch the stalker and save his marriage, Alexis will offer her services. She’ll think that if the stalker is indeed Ryan, she’s in the prime position to monitor him and prove it.
Ryan is faking his condition, so we’ll see if Alexis can figure that out. Regardless, Spencer sent the eerie gifts and will have to pay the price down the road!
