General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, February 18, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be apologetic for leaving The Tan-O vulnerable to vandalism. Sonny was off making sure a drunk customer got home safely, but he wasn’t expecting the place to be trashed when he got back.
Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) may point out that he just asked a simple favor of Sonny – to watch the bar for a bit while Lenny was gone with Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).
Sonny’s decision to leave may rile Lenny up, but Phyllis might go easy on “Mike.” Perhaps Phyllis will even argue that it’s good Sonny wasn’t there to face injuries or worse!
This isn’t the first business that’s been targeted in the neighborhood. Lenny will need to call the cops and report this, so Officer Ralph Finchley (Tatum Shank) will likely be the one who shows up again.
Officer Finchley recently took Sonny’s mug to see if his fingerprints matched any in the system. Since Sonny has been arrested before, “Mike” should indeed have a match if all goes well.
Of course, things don’t always go according to plan on soaps – especially when the writers are trying to stretch a story. It doesn’t seem like the right time to just reveal who Sonny is and send him home.
As a result, there may be some explanation for why this fingerprint situation failed to identify Sonny.
It looks like Sonny will get updates on Officer Finchley’s plan and wonder if Finchley now knows who he is. Sonny would like some answers, but he probably won’t get any just yet.
Back in Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will continue his drug discussion with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Britt will worry about the next board meeting and fret over what she should do next.
However, Jason won’t think Britt should do anything at all. Britt can’t risk setting off alarm bells, so Jason will warn her to be patient and let this play out.
Afterward, Britt will hop on the elevator and tell herself time is something she doesn’t have. Britt won’t want Cyrus’ dangerous drug to move forward – and she’ll want a chance to push Cyrus out of the picture at GH.
Unfortunately, Britt clearly has a medical issue she’s dealing with. She seems to think it’ll kill her sooner rather than later, so she’ll have that drama on her mind, too.
Britt will call Mercy Hospital to make an appointment for herself within the next few episodes, so it’s good that Britt will finally be seeking some health updates.
Until then, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will face Cyrus’ wrath. At GH, Cyrus will seethe over Brando’s failure to come up with any info that could lead to Florence Grey’s (Annie Abbott) safe return.
Cyrus will make it clear that he doesn’t tolerate employees that have no purpose. If Brando can’t prove his worth, he could get wiped out in more ways than one.
Since Brando will realize Cyrus means business, he’ll go to Jason and admit things are getting tense. Brando will argue that he’s losing Cyrus’ trust and that’s putting him in deadly danger.
Jason will think it’d be best to fake an attack on Brando, so he’ll calmly pump a bullet in Brando’s thigh. Look for this shooting to go down in the next couple episodes – and Brando’s hospitalization will follow.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) will tell Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) that she found his mom. Martin’s eyes will widen as he seeks more details, but Jackie might be overselling it a bit.
Jackie is a top-notch investigative journalist, but has she really found the safehouse that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) insisted no one would ever track down?
It’s possible Jackie will just mean she knows Florence is in Vermont – perhaps in a certain vicinity. On the other hand, there’s a chance Jackie really did find that safehouse if she had Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) followed.
Regardless, it’s not like Martin can just walk through the door and wheel his mother out. There are surely guards posted to ensure that the Corinthos clan keeps their leverage.
Even if Martin and Jackie’s search leads them to the right spot, they’ll have to figure out how to tackle the next challenge of scoring Florence’s freedom.
At the PCPD, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will fill Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) in on the murder information she just hinted at. Nina will insist that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is to blame for Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) death.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will also be blamed for covering up Carly’s actions. Nina will assure Jordan that Carly and Jax lied to the authorities, so that alone could leave them in hot water.
Jordan will have to make a phone call to the Pennsylvania jurisdiction that handled this case and see if they want to reopen the investigation based on Nina’s new info.
Since Carly is a Corinthos and the cops are always eager to take one of Sonny’s family members down, that could mean bad news for Carly. Jax will warn Carly about the storm that’s brewing after they’re called to the police station to answer more questions.
As for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’ll be pleased when Nina comes to him for help. Valentin will see the potential for his dream reunion to come true! Nina will trash Jax for putting Carly first and concede that Valentin was right about him.
Maybe Nina will acknowledge that Valentin’s the better man since he lied to give her a daughter, not to cover up the murder of one. Valentin also doesn’t masquerade as a good guy.
He’s at least honest about who he is and what he’s capable of, so Nina might find Valentin more appealing now that Jax has fallen off his pedestal.
Whatever the case, the real point of this meeting will be securing a second revenge strategy. It’s wise since the Corinthos family has a way of wiggling out of legal situations.
Valentin will find out all the dirty details of what Jax and Carly did, so he’ll be appalled right along with Nina.
General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will promise to help Nina with her payback plan, which means Carly and Jax had better watch out! Carly will be Nina’s main target, but she’ll certainly want Jax to suffer as well.
Finally, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will talk to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about his separation from Jordan and how the trust has been shattered. Curtis won’t think a relationship really even matters without honesty, but Portia may hope Curtis and Jordan patch things up in time.
For now, Curtis and Portia will be the ones doing some bonding. Look for Portia to join Curtis on an exciting nightclub stakeout by Friday, which will bring GH’s belated Valentine’s Day.
It sounds like a recipe for flying sparks, so General Hospital fans will want to stay tuned. CDL’s your go-to source for thrilling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so drop by often.
