General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, January 28, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be discovered not too far from Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) bar. Luckily, a state trooper will spot Sonny wandering around and bring him back to face Phyllis Caulfield’s (Joyce Guy) lecture.
Phyllis will scold Sonny for running off like that when they’re just trying to help him. She’ll warn that if Sonny wants to stick around this time, he’ll have to agree to their conditions. Lenny will agree that Sonny has to follow the rules and listen to Phyllis’ medical advice.
Sonny will promise to undergo testing to see if he might be bipolar – and GH viewers know he is. It won’t be long until Sonny’s back on his medication, but he’ll still have to figure out who his spouse is and where he came from.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny’s identity crisis will bring some intriguing February sweeps drama, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will interrogate Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) about his contingency plan and what that’s supposed to mean.
Franco may not want to fess up, but Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will surely rat Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) out for agreeing to kill Franco if he goes off the rails.
It’s doubtful Sam will be on board with Jason murdering Franco since he could get caught and land behind bars. Not to mention it’d mean killing Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) beloved stepdad.
Sam may worry how that would affect Jason’s bond with his son. This should be something that unites Sam and Liz on Thursday, but there isn’t much they can do as long as Jason refuses to back down.
Next, Jason will refuse to back down on another matter. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) won’t be pleased when Jason pushes for answers about Peter’s threats against Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Although Peter may argue that it’s none of Jason’s business, Britt will spill how Peter deceived her about his actions at GH.
After Britt granted Peter access to the database, he scored Franco’s medical records. Once Britt changed her mind, Peter pretended he understood and acted like he’d find another path to getting the information he needed.
Britt checked her computer for updates on what Peter had searched for – and the damaging article came out soon after.
All of this led Britt to confront Peter, who boldly fired back with menacing threats. Once Britt brings Jason up to speed, she’ll suggest calling the police. Jason won’t think that’s necessary and will listen to Peter’s explanation.
Peter will act like he did Port Charles a favor by informing them of Franco’s tumor and the dangers it could bring.
Jason will play along when Peter argues that they should stand together against Franco, but he’ll really be trying to drop Peter’s guard. Britt will question Jason once they’re alone, but he’ll think Britt should trust him.
Jason will count on this tactic to work, but something else will be on Britt’s troubled mind in Thursday’s episode. A shaky hand will serve as another sign that Britt’s in poor health.
Britt will deal with some tremors again – and it turns out there’s a disturbing diagnosis that’ll be revealed down the road. Until then, let’s get back to Franco and some looming peril. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will plan to use that syringe she spotted on Franco, so a murder plot’s on the way.
The good news is Alexis won’t succeed in killing Franco. The bad news is Alexis will cause plenty of chaos at GH! Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will do his best to sort through the facts once he arrives on the scene.
Drunk Alexis will look like she’s been crying when Chase asked if she witnessed the incident.
Alexis will have a guilty expression on her face – one that says she did it rather that simply watched. We’ll see what Chase can piece together based on the clues, but Sam might hope she can cover this up for her mess of a mother.
General Hospital spoilers say this could be the last straw that finally serves as the catalyst for change in Alexis.
Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will once again listen to Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) marriage troubles. If Curtis mentions how Jordan Ashford (Tiffany Williams) came to him looking for a night of peace, Portia may argue that he should take her up on it.
Curtis rejected the idea, so he may explain why he just doesn’t think it can happen right now.
Even so, Portia might contend that Curtis will be stuck in limbo if he doesn’t tackle the situation one way or the other. Portia might think a night of calm, rational conversations would do Jordan and Curtis some good.
As for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she’ll corner Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and push for Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) interview to be halted immediately. Lucy won’t get why Carly’s flipping out and certainly won’t interrupt a live interview on GMA3 because Carly says so!
Once the interview winds down and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) appears, she’ll chew Sasha out right off the bat. Nina won’t understand how Sasha has this half-heart pendant or how she could wear it on TV like it was nothing.
Nina will struggle to make sense of things since Sasha previously claimed to have no knowledge of the pendant.
GH fans will recall that Nina asked Sasha about it when the fake daughter scheme began. Since Sasha didn’t have the missing half, Nina had one made for her.
The copy was yanked off Sasha’s neck after the exposure at Nina’s wedding to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), so Nina will believe this must be the real one.
Nina will apparently assume Sasha lied and found the pendant somehow, so she’ll demand some answers. Sasha won’t have any since she didn’t even notice when Lucy put the necklace on her.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will squirm as Nina asks if she knows anything about this. Of course, it’ll be Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) who insists the pendant is hers.
Nina’s head will be spinning, but Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will help Nina see the truth – or at least part of it. Perhaps Valentin will argue that if Avery has this pendant, then Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) surely must know more than they’re letting on.
Jax will eventually blurt out that he can’t lie to Nina anymore. He’ll be ready to come clean, but we’ll see if Carly lets him! As for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), he’ll react to an offer that he views as quite generous.
It’s possible this will be related to more Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) drama, but perhaps it’ll be Sam who makes this proposal since GH is inching Sam and Dante closer.
General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be some shockers and shakeups on Thursday, so tune in for more PC mayhem. CDL will have other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news for you, so stop by often.
