General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, June 24, teases that Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) replacement will be revealed while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) lays down the law. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will also pressure Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to spill, so here’s what viewers will see in Thursday’s episode.
It’ll be a big day at GH since Cyrus is out as the chairman of the board and must be replaced. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will drop a hint to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about the interesting changes that’ll soon be made.
Portia will definitely be inquisitive as she hopes for someone far better to be in charge.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will seem surprised and taken aback as she asks if Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) is going to replace her as Chief of Staff.
Does that mean Monica will take Britt’s position or perhaps take Cyrus’ job and have the authority to replace Britt with another doctor?
It might be the latter since there are some clues that suggest the new board chairperson may be a female.
Monica would no doubt do a great job overseeing things at GH, but she may also be tempted to kick Britt out of her spot since Cyrus put her in it. There may be a huge push to clean house.
Could Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) be considered for a Chief of Staff promotion? It’s an option to consider since Terry will hope to launch some improvements at the hospital according to spoilers.
Terry will also check in with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and see how she’s holding up following the loss of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Liz will be hanging in there, but Terry might also wonder how her friend feels about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) still being out there somewhere.
Of course, Liz feels confident Peter is dead in the sub-basement lab freezer, so she won’t think she has to worry about Peter ever again.
Next, Nina will most likely stumble upon a heartbreaking sight. Michael may be mourning in front of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) grave when Nina appears, so that could intensify her guilt since she knows Sonny is just fine in Nixon Falls.
Talk will turn to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), who recently had a visit with Grandma Nina. Although Nina loved every last second of it, she’ll also fret over what Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) did to set this in motion.
Nina will ask just how far Jax went, so Michael may admit Jax pushed harder than he would’ve liked.
Michael will assure Nina that he’s fine with her being in Wiley’s life – as long as she plays by the rules anyway. He just won’t be happy with how Jax tossed threats around to make it happen.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will have a new reason to be concerned about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) in Thursday’s episode.
Chase just dropped the bomb that he can’t walk, so he’ll confirm his paralysis to Willow and talk about time being critical.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) might point out that the longer it takes Chase to regain the use of his legs, the more likely it becomes that the paralysis will be permanent. Chase will need Willow more than ever and may tell her so!
Willow certainly won’t admit her love for Michael or make any kind of annulment plans under the circumstances. She has to stand by Chase for now and try to get him to the other side of this nightmare.
In prison, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will have high hopes thanks to the research Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been helping him with. Alexis will want to make sure Shawn walks free and stop Judge Carson’s pattern of injustice.
It’s obviously not right for the judge to offer different sentences for the same crimes based on the color of skin.
After a strange interaction with Judge Carson at Kelly’s, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will talk to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about a conflict of interest – at least she’ll believe there’s one.
TJ and Molly will soon be dragged into more trouble than they bargained for, so stay tuned.
As for Jason, he’ll spar with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about boundaries and hurt her feelings in the process. Jason will make a comment that cuts Carly to the core, so she’ll wonder how he could say such a thing.
It might involve something about Sonny that Carly views as insensitive, but Jason will feel like he has to lay down the law and make Carly understand.
The main thing right now is standing against the Novak family and any other foes that dare to push too hard. Carly and Jason will do some strategizing in the coming episodes, so this is setting up a marriage designed to present a united front.
We’ll offer updates as other news emerges. General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly will do everything in their power to protect the people they love, so keep watching! CDL’s where you want to be for the hottest General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so pop back in frequently.
