General Hospital Spoilers Update: Tuesday, February 16 – Jason & Sam Embrace - Sonny’s Mystery Blonde - Cemetery Showdown

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, February 16, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will talk to Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) about somebody he remembered – although Sonny’s memory will be hazy.

Sonny will reflect on a woman he’s been dreaming about. He’ll recall dancing with a beautiful blonde, but he won’t be able to nail down what her face looks like.

Of course, Sonny was wearing a wedding ring along with Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) engraved watch when he was found. Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) pointed out that someone must be waiting on Sonny, so he should start wondering if this blonde is his spouse and asking himself where she might be.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is the woman Sonny’s seeking, but she’ll have to be patient when it comes to the inevitable “CarSon” reunion. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will have more pressing problems thanks to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) the eavesdropper.

Nina will keep listening to Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) – and she won’t like what she overhears at all!

Carly will allude to what happened by the cliff’s edge and how Jax convinced her a cover-up was necessary. Jax will agree that the truth about Carly’s last confrontation with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) must stay buried. Once Nina’s gathered all the information she can, she’ll bolt and wind up at the cemetery.

Nina will kneel down at Nelle’s grave and tear up over her daughter being gone too soon. She’ll fume since it wasn’t fate that robbed her of a chance to get to know Nelle as her child. The way Nina will see it, Carly was the one who caused Nelle’s death – and she’ll promise to make Carly pay for it!

Over with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), they’ll bail on Sonny’s funeral so they can talk about some important matters. For starters, there’s Alexis’ continued drinking. Since Molly just busted Alexis throwing one back, Alexis will expect a lecture.

Instead, Molly will try to be understanding about the slipup – though she’ll indeed want Alexis to make her sobriety the priority. Alexis will open up about her struggles to avoid temptation, but Molly will offer plenty of support.

Once the conversation shifts to Alexis’ case, Molly will talk her mom out of pleading guilty. The good news Alexis will indeed find herself sticking with a sober path eventually.

The bad news is prison is in Alexis’ future. Look for Alexis to do a stint in Pentonville down the road, but hopefully it’ll lead to life improvements in the long run.

In the meantime, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will bump into Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) at GH and seek reassurance that he won’t make trouble at Sonny’s funeral. Cyrus will propose a deal where Laura has a cup of coffee with him – and in return, Cyrus will let the Corinthos family mourn peacefully.

Laura won’t like how Cyrus is trying to manipulate her, but chatting with Cyrus over coffee is better than dealing with another major mob crisis. As for Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), he’ll have to keep doing his delicate dance of taking Cyrus’ orders without going too far.

Since Brando is only pretending to be Cyrus’ dedicated employee, that’ll continue to bring some tight spot.

Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will let Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) know she’s there for her on Tuesday. There’ll be some sweet friendship scenes as Trina consoles Joss – and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will get some comforting words, too.

Sam will be the one who offers those comforting words to Jason, who’ll be thankful that his ex came to the memorial service.

Sam certainly wanted to show her support for her sister, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainworth), following her dad’s death. Even so, it’s Jason who Sam mainly came for – and she’ll admit that to him in Tuesday’s episode.

Jason and Sam’s moments together should be a tad bittersweet since they’re no longer together, but there’ll at least be a warm embrace for “JaSam” fans to enjoy.

Next, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will make her anger known. Since Alexis won’t be in attendance at Sonny’s funeral, Olivia may rant about how Alexis couldn’t be bothered to show up.

Olivia might assume that Alexis is off drunk somewhere, but it’s for the best that Alexis won’t be around. This day is about remembering Sonny, so Olivia should settle down and focus on grieving the loss.

Once Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) makes an appearance, she’ll immediately battle second thoughts about coming. Sasha will feel out of place and will worry to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but he’ll appreciate another friendly face as he copes.

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will give Michael and Sasha an opportunity to reconnect alone, but she’ll no doubt quietly pine for the man who used to be her husband. Just because Michael and Willow got an annulment doesn’t mean what they feel for each other has evaporated.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will get up to speak once the funeral gets underway. Michael, Kristina and Carly will share some Sonny memories as well. Carly’s speech will be particularly heartbreaking as she wonders how they’re supposed to say goodbye to a guy like Sonny.

In the end, Carly may argue that it’s an impossible task and trust that she’ll be reunited with Sonny someday in the afterlife.

Carly may look forward to the day when she can see Sonny, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and Mike all smiling back at her. Two out of three isn’t bad since Sonny’s indeed returning and there’s strong buzz about Morgan coming back from the “dead,” too!

Once the service wraps up inside, it’ll be time to bury Sonny’s empty casket. That’s when Nina will pop up for an epic cemetery showdown with Carly, which will spill over into Wednesday’s episode. We’ll offer updates as other GH details come in.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina will kick off quite a war, so don’t miss all the action. CDL will have lots of other thrilling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so be sure to visit frequently.
