General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, February 23, teases that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will battle concerns about Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) plot.
Although Britt will kid around about the sparrow landing as she pretends to speak in code, part of her will fear Liesl’s headed for danger.
Liesl will be convinced that she’s on the verge of exposing Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) guilt. She’ll just think she has to put a little more effort into finding evidence against him.
Britt will understand Liesl’s desire to bring Peter down, but she’ll also know Peter is volatile and could pose a real threat to her mom.
General Hospital spoilers say Britt will resort to begging during an interaction with Obrecht on Tuesday. Britt may try to talk Liesl out of what she’s about to do, which is apparently break in the apartment Peter shares with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Since Liesl will narrowly avoid a showdown on Tuesday, it sounds like someone may show up at the end of Tuesday’s episode. While Liesl’s trying to dig around Maxie and Peter’s place, one of them may return and throw off her plans.
However, it sounds like Liesl will hide or bold in the nick of time. That should keep Obrecht safe from Peter’s wrath for now – but perhaps not for long!
Maxie will also pay a visit to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at Crimson on Tuesday. General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will sense that Nina’s still dealing with a lot of pain and anger.
Nina found out troubled Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was her daughter, which means Nina will never get the chance to reconnect with her deceased child or help her find a better path.
Of course, there’s always a chance for a soapy comeback in Port Charles, so never say never when it comes to Nelle’s return from the dead! For the time being, Nina will remain livid with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for what she views as murder.
Nina rant to Maxie about how Carly wanted Nelle to die that night and didn’t really try to help her.
Nina will also go on a tirade about Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) protecting Carly like he always does – even when it meant denying her a relationship with her grandson, Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Maxie will likely feel like Nina’s exaggerating when it comes to her accusations against Carly, but Nina will insist that Carly essentially killed Nelle and needs to suffer for it.
Meanwhile, Carly will have one last strategy meeting ahead of her grilling session with the feds. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will want confirmation that Carly’s going to stick to her statement, so Carly will give her that confirmation.
Carly will discuss what she plans to say about Jax’s part in all this, so Diane will hope everything goes well. General Hospital spoilers say this interrogation will serve as judgment day in a way. Carly will hope that the feds decline to press charges and don’t pursue the case any further.
The good news is Carly should get off the hook legally. The bad news is Nina won’t rest until Carly pays for Nelle’s death! Across town, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will mull over how crazy it is that Nelle turned out to be Nina’s daughter.
Willow will sympathize with Nina over the loss, especially since twisted Nelle was such a menace to society.
General Hospital spoilers say Willow will feel sorry for Nina and all the grief she’s dealing with, so she’ll make a suggestion. Michael will get updates on what Willow has in mind, which will involve a way to potentially help both Nina and Wiley.
Willow may suggest that if Wiley gets to know Nina, perhaps it’ll lessen the sting of what he’ll learn about Nelle as he gets older. Of course, Wiley could also help to fill the void Nelle left in Nina’s heart.
Willow may want to set some a special grandma and grandson bonding session soon.
Michael will probably acknowledge how Nina’s blaming Carly for Nelle’s demise, but he may think Willow’s idea would be a good way to settle things down.
However, Jax will warn Carly that there’s going to be fallout from what they did. That’ll turn out to be true since Nina has no intention of letting this go.
Jax will also sit down for a chat with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so this will be a chance for them to share their struggles. Alexis is having a tough time sticking to her sobriety, so she may get a pep talk from Jax on Tuesday.
As for Jax, he may need a pep talk of his own. Alexis will push Jax to open up about some misgivings he’s dealing with. We’ll see a very conflicted Jax due to his loyalty to Carly and his desire to fix what he broke with Nina.
Finally, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will hear some Peter shockers thanks to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Valentin will go against Peter’s wishes and spill all the details of his sinister secrets.
Anna will reel as Valentin reveals everything Peter told him during their last faceoff. She’ll feel like she overlooked the warning signs and refused to see what was right in front of her.
Once Anna processes Valentin’s bombshells and accepts them as fact, she’ll contact Peter and ask to meet. General Hospital spoilers say Anna won’t want to go to the authorities without giving Peter an opportunity to come clean. This will almost be like Anna’s way of testing whether Peter might still be redeemed.
Sadly, that’s a test Peter’s going to fail – at least at this point in the story! CDL will have tons of other thrilling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your hotspot.
