General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 18, teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will try to sell Peter August (Wes Ramsey) her cover story while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a road trip run-in. Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will have a risky proposal to make, so here’s what’s coming up on Tuesday’s shocking show.
During Sonny’s trip to Corinth with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), he’ll spy somebody that he recognizes. That could prove concerning to Nina at first since she wants to keep Sonny away from anyone with Port Charles ties.
However, Sonny’s met a few people around Nixon Falls as well. This familiar character “Mike” spots could be someone from the poker game he played in or perhaps one of the thugs he’s encountered.
In other words, this may not be someone who would bring back any PC memories. It may be more about Elijah Crowe (Dan White) and locking in further proof against him through his connections.
As for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), it looks like they made it over the border and have planted themselves somewhere in Canada. Britt will decide to sneak a phone call to someone, but she’ll get busted by Jason and have to explain.
Since GH spoilers say Britt will fret over Maxie and all the baby drama, it appears Maxie will be the one on the receiving end of this phone call. After Britt shares her concerns, Jason will offer some comfort and shift Britt’s attention to whatever their next move is.
In the meantime, Carly will expect a change of heart once she makes a pitch to someone. It seems Carly will have a proposal for Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), but she’ll fill Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) in first.
Diane may have some concerns about Carly’s overconfidence and the potential for this plan to backfire – especially if Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) finds out about it.
In Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) room at GH, he’ll want Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to tell him the truth about his condition. Chase just doesn’t feel like he’s getting all the facts – and fans know he’s absolutely right.
Finn could be putting Chase’s life in danger if he spills, but doesn’t Chase deserve to know what’s really going on since he’s the afflicted one?
Peter is the reason for Chase’s poison struggles, but Finn may be hesitant to divulge too much. Whatever the case, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will grow increasingly suspicious as well. Chase admitted to Willow that he thought Finn was keeping secrets regarding his condition.
Willow will fill Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in on Chase’s hunch, so Michael may admit it’s possible from the sound of things. However, Michael may point out that if Finn’s holding back, he must have a good reason why.
This could lead to Michael and Willow putting together a few puzzle pieces, but we’ll see how much they can nail down.
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll deliver some heartbreaking updates to Robert Scoprio (Tristan Rogers) about Sean Donely’s (John Reilly) death.
While Robert and Anna mourn the loss, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will blow her top over Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) taking up residence at the Quartermaine mansion.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will explain the situation to Olivia, who won’t like the idea of having Valentin under the same roof. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) may have to convince Olivia that it’s best to keep your friends close and your enemies closer!
Across town, Maxie will tell Peter that it’d be irresponsible to turn down an offer. Since Maxie’s pretending to have blood pressure issues related to stress, she may insist a spa day would do her some good.
Maxie intends to use that as part of a cover story and set up Baby Lou’s delivery in Beechers Corners. She may claim someone invited her to the spa and hope she can convince Peter it’s a great idea ahead of the birth.
Of course, Peter plans to get Maxie out of Port Charles without anyone knowing, their conflicting plans could present a problem. As other news becomes available, we’ll keep you posted.
