General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 17, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will plot Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) public destruction. Nina will want the entire world to know exactly what Carly did to her daughter, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).
Of course, Carly didn’t cause Nelle’s cliff fall. She paused briefly thinking Nelle might be pulling some sort of trick, but she quickly ran to Nelle’s aid and tried to yank her up. However, Carly failed – and now Nina’s feeling like this is the outcome Carly wanted all along.
To be fair, Carly let that Pennsylvania detective know she was glad about Nelle’s death. Carly indeed wanted Nelle gone, even if she didn’t want it to go down like that. Even so, Carly didn’t kill Nelle – and that’s something she’ll point out to Nina on Wednesday.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will push Nina to understand that Carly genuinely tried to help Nelle, but Nina may fire back that it was too little, too late. There’ll be a huge fight about everything Nina overheard, but Jax and Carly won’t convince her to back off this push for payback.
It won’t be long until Nina’s heading to the PCPD to find Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), so Carly will know she needs to have a strategy session with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy). Diane will face some new challenges in defending Carly, who previously claimed she wasn’t with Nelle when she tumbled.
Since Carly lied to the police on multiple occasions, Diane will have a tough time digging her client out of this hole. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will worry about the new trouble Carly’s landed in, but he’ll count on Diane to do what she does best and make the Corinthos family’s legal problems go away.
Next, Jordan will seek updates from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). She’ll hope that Curtis is willing to come home and fix their marriage, but it seems Curtis won’t think that’s possible.
General Hospital spoilers say Curtis and Jordan will officially separate, so this could be the first step toward a divorce unless something huge changes between them.
We should note that Curtis will strengthen his bond with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in the coming episodes, so he may be headed down another romantic path. Until then, Portia will take a bold stand against Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Portia will manage to block Cyrus’ plan to fast-track his experimental drug.
That’s obviously the kind of thing that could leave Portia’s job in jeopardy – and Cyrus will indeed allude to some big shifts that are set to happen at the hospital. However, Cyrus thinks he’s got GH’s chief of staff on his side, and Portia will think that’s the case on Wednesday as well.
Portia will fret over Cyrus’ tight grip on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and how Britt might help Cyrus pull off his goals anyway. What Portia doesn’t realize is that Britt’s been secretly plotting with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). That alliance will bring some complications in the episodes ahead, so don’t miss what’s in store.
Meanwhile, Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) will voice her objection and plant herself in the middle of some drama. Lesley may take issue with Cyrus trying to manipulate Laura Collins (Genie Francis) into thinking they’re two of a kind.
Laura always holds her own against Cyrus, but it’s still unsettling to have him making all these comparisons between them.
Lesley will likely offer a pep talk to Laura and a warning to Cyrus, but Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) may get a visit from her old foe, too.
General Hospital spoilers say Monica will open the door of the Quartermaine mansion and find a visitor she’s not happy about on her doorstep. It appears it may be Lesley dropping by to debate the crisis at GH and brainstorm ways to push Cyrus out.
Once Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) returns to The Tan-O, she’ll find out what Sonny just told Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton). Sonny had a dream about a blonde woman that he felt truly content with. As Sonny took this woman in his arms, he never wanted to let her go.
Sonny will talk to Phyllis about dancing with this blonde and knowing she must be important. General Hospital fans know that’s true since Sonny was dreaming of his wife!
Carly was the mystery woman, though Sonny wasn’t able to make out her face. Perhaps Sonny will hope this mysterious lady comes to him in his dreams again and offers a few more clues.
Phyllis should also be relieved to know Sonny’s memory is being jogged in some way. She might have a memory specialist “Mike” can talk to or some other tactic to help speed the process along.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Sonny won’t be able to shake the deep connection he felt for Carly, even if he doesn’t know it was Carly just yet!
Finally, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will enjoy a little more bonding time – and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will notice. As Sam and Dante grow closer, Olivia will become uneasy about where their connection might lead.
We’ll keep you posted as other GH news and updates emerge. General Hospital spoilers say some bombshells are looming on the ABC soap. CDL will have lots of other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news to check out, so stick with us.
