General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 3, teases that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will face a difficult question. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) knows Dante has his fair share of issues with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), but she’s hoping Dante can eventually move past them.
When Maxie asks if Dante can forgive Peter, that’ll put him in a tough situation.
Dante won’t want to lie to Maxie if he doesn’t have to, but he certainly can’t forgive and forget when it comes to Peter’s twisted history. Perhaps Dante will assure Maxie that he can forgive Peter for putting him in danger through that article he published.
Dante wouldn’t have had to defend Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) if it’d hadn’t been for that story, but it’s not like Peter actually jabbed the syringe.
Dante can forgive that at least, but Peter’s past is a hurdle too high to jump over. General Hospital spoilers say Dante will continue his efforts to take Peter down, but Maxie obviously won’t know about his plans.
As for Peter, it seems he’ll have a new plan of his own. Wednesday’s preview video shows Peter heading to a hospital room at GH, so he may end up in Dante’s room after Maxie.
Peter will allude to a mistake that’s being made, so he may think Peter’s disdain for him is the wrong call at this point. We might see Peter make it clear that he’s not going anywhere and warn Dante that he’ll have to deal with it – or else!
Whatever the case, Dante and Peter seem to be headed for quite a showdown at the end of this storyline.
Until then, we should talk about Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) terror and desperation over his mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott). Cyrus is clearly still upset about his mom’s abduction, so he’s eager to get her back by any means necessary.
Cyrus is even trying to bargain Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) freedom for Florence’s safe return, so he’ll keep pushing this hostage negotiation on Wednesday.
Jordan Ashford (Tiffany Williams) has warned that she can’t just snap her fingers and make this happen for Cyrus. Besides, Jordan decided she was done letting Cyrus push her around.
This is really in Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) hands now, so Jordan may suggest there’s nothing she can do if Jason won’t cooperate.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will definitely have cooperation on her mind when she heads to the Corinthos home on Wednesday. She’ll face off with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) over this Florence captivity situation and argue that it’s gone on long enough.
After Laura settles down, she’ll wonder if a compromise is possible. Laura might suggest that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) be allowed to check on his mother – or maybe Laura will suggest some other alternative that’d still leave Carly and Jason with some power.
Whatever the case, Jason and Carly will have a strategy session later. We may see Carly wonder if it’s time to give Florence back and deescalate things, but it’s probably too late for that now. Jason will point out how important it is to keep Cyrus fearful.
This isn’t the method Jason would’ve preferred, but now they’ve got leverage and have to keep it. Carly got them into a jam and now they can’t lose their advantage. There’s no predicting what Cyrus might do to retaliate if Florence is safely returned to him.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will flatter her mom and seemingly try to score something she wants. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will question what Trina’s up to, but this may tie in with Taggert somehow.
It may be more about Trina trying to avoid reconnecting with her father since she’s still feeling so hurt and betrayed.
Fortunately, Portia knows how much Trina loves her dad and needs him in her life. She’ll offer some valuable guidance that could help Trina take a step forward forgiving Taggert on Wednesday.
Over with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she’ll get some useful advice as well. Just like Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) did on Tuesday, Curtis will hope he can convince Alexis to attend a meeting and seek help.
Wednesday’s episode will also bring Jackie Templeton’s (Kim Delaney) conversation with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Jackie might get the feeling this is about the story Martin recently pitched since Martin is Valentin’s attorney.
Nevertheless, Valentin always has a trick or two up his sleeve, so Jackie will catch on and realize there’s another angle here.
Will Valentin try to use the news that’s just blown up about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier)? Valentin wants Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) to pay for withholding the truth about Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter from her.
It’s the kind of info that could further vilify Jax and Carly in the eyes of the public, so Valentin might tempt Jackie with the hot scoop.
Nina might not like having all the Nelle drama announced to the world, so Valentin might want to think twice before he uses something like this. Of course, there’s no guarantee Jackie will report on the story either way, but there should be a sassy exchange between Valentin and Jackie no matter what!
Finally, Cyrus will rev up the pressure on Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Since Cyrus will be doing everything in his power to get Florence out of the Corinthos clan’s clutches, that means Brando will feel the heat! Brando will realize things are getting dangerous as Cyrus’ threats get worse.
