General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, June 2, teases that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will be trapped as a police showdown begins – and dying Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will depend on Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
At Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) house, she’ll remain on edge along with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) managed to cut off Portia’s phone call before she could blab what was going on, but he’ll obviously be irritated with her anyway.
Portia isn’t playing by Cyrus’ rules, so he may mess with her as well as Trina. Since Cyrus will be ready to bail on Port Charles, he might wonder if he should just shoot Portia and Trina as he goes!
Of course, it wouldn’t be wise to add to Cyrus’ list of crimes right now, but he’s not thinking rationally.
Trina and Portia will certainly fear for their lives as they wait to find out what Cyrus’ next move will be. As for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), he’ll mention that his call to Portia was disconnected.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will no doubt assume that Portia hung up on Curtis at first. She’ll probably think Portia is still upset over Curtis’ kiss reaction, but he won’t think she’d hang up on him over that.
Portia is a pretty sensible gal who wouldn’t be that petty. Besides, her whispers sounded intense and tipped Curtis off to trouble.
Curtis just won’t feel right about leaving this alone, so he’ll decide to contract Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and have her come along with him to Portia’s place.
In the meantime, Jordan will speak with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about the case that’s mounting against Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Now Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has recanted her original statement and put the blame on Cyrus for her deception.
Gladys swore it was Peter who disposed of the murder weapon that night, so she incriminated Peter in Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder case.
Jordan will hope to arrest Peter soon, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may warn that she can’t do that – not until some sort of permanent solution is found to help Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Chase is only surviving through the temporary fix vials that Peter has been passing along. If Peter goes to Pentonville, he could refuse to provide the location of the remaining vials. Chase’s life-saving supply could be cut off and lead to his death.
If Peter makes his escape, that presents the same problem of losing Chase’s necessary doses. Anna needs Peter alive and free in Port Charles, but that staircase tumble curveball is coming up later this week.
If Peter winds up comatose, that’ll be another route to blocking Chase’s antidote vials. This is just a bad situation all around, but Anna will keep working to get a grip on it.
Until then, Peter will wonder what Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) meant by her claims that their baby was gone. Maxie looks awfully somber, so it’s possible she’ll move forward with her initial idea of faking Baby Louise’s death somehow.
The only problem is Maxie doesn’t have a dead baby’s body to offer as evidence.
Another option is to claim that crazy “Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) ran off with the baby, but what happens if Chloe is found either dead or alive in that mine shaft? Maxie’s story will fall apart pretty quickly if that happens.
There’s also the matter of Maxie’s eerily calm demeanor. Shouldn’t Maxie be trying to act frantic over her missing child if she’s going to sell that Chloe stole her?
Of course, Maxie could go for a mixture of the two options if she claims the baby died and Chloe disposed of the corpse somewhere.
Whatever the case, Maxie will have to craft a story and try to make it seem believable to Peter. That won’t be an easy task since Peter will poke holes in Maxie’s version of events.
However, Maxie will suggest that Peter wasn’t there and doesn’t know what happened. She’ll blame Peter for shipping her off against her will and causing Baby Louise’s terrible outcome.
Peter will keep pushing to find out where Baby Louise is, but Maxie will want him to get it through his head that their daughter is gone! As for Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney), she’ll visit Chase and sense that he’s in truly bad shape.
Chase will be out of it and looking for his badge, so it sounds like he’ll be so hallucinating and thinking he can go to work.
Other GH spoilers say Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will confront Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about avoiding him lately.
Finn may confess that’s true on some level, but honestly Finn’s just been busy trying to save Chase’s life! There hasn’t been much time to reconnect with Gregory, even if Finn wanted to.
On the topic of Chase’s condition, Gregory will realize things seem bleak. He’ll determine that Finn seems to know what’s ailing Chase, but he may not be able to pry the whole story out of him.
Back with Cyrus, he’ll realize he’s trapped at Portia’s house with Portia and Trina as his hostages. This will lead to a dangerous faceoff between Cyrus and the police, but Laura will wade into the mayhem and try to stop this from turning into a total catastrophe.
