General Hospital Spoilers Update: Week of August 9 – Liz’s Happy Reunion – Jason’s Mob Boiling Point – Dante’s New Case Info

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 9-13 teases that Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will enjoy a happy reunion while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) reaches a mob boiling point. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will also pass along some new case info, so let’s discuss all the gripping drama ahead.

For starters, a familiar face will pop up at GH again. Liz will give Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) a warm welcome back on August 10, so they’ll catch up on each other’s lives.

Felix may wonder how Liz has been coping since the loss of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). He may be surprised if he figures out that Liz and Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) are inching awfully close to romantic territory.

As for Felix, we’ll see if the show offers any developments regarding his own love life. Regardless, it’ll be nice to see Felix again and watch him interact with some old friends like Liz.

Over with Jason, he’ll feel pushed to his limit on all the mob drama. Jason will no doubt act cool under pressure, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will grow truly concerned about the pressure he’s under.

Although Carly and Jason are engaged, it doesn’t seem like the rival mob families are really buying what they’re selling.

Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) took a jab about Carly being the one in charge, so the perception is still that they’re weak because they’re divided.

Carly and Jason also don’t know who might be in an alliance with the Novaks, so another five families meeting might be for the best.

While Jason and Carly discuss that possibility, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will reach out to Dante for assistance regarding a case.

Sam might be hoping Dante can help heat up the cold Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Herbst) shooter trail.

Of course, there’s also a chance this will tie in with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but Dante will come running when Sam calls no matter what.

Over with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he’ll be pushed in a vengeful direction thanks to Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) desire to go after the Quartermaine fortune.

Austin will think Chase can help him access Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) old office at the Q manse, so he’ll urge Chase to sit tight and avoid blowing up his marriage just yet.

Chase will consider just surrendering and letting Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) be happy with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but Austin will feel like Michael deserves to pay for his part in the betrayal.

It looks like Chase will go along with Austin’s plan for a while, but he probably won’t be able to deceive Willow about what he knows for too long.

As for Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), she’ll strengthen her connection with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

Obrecht and Scott will fall harder and harder for each other, which is good since a crisis is brewing for both of them!

At The Tan-O, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will dare to dream of a future with “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

As Sonny and Nina’s bond grows stronger, could they hit the sheets? Things seem to be moving toward the bedroom, so stay tuned to see if passion’s about to erupt.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina’s going to land in hot water for all her secret-keeping down the road!
