General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of July 12-16 teases that we’ll see some Austin (Roger Howarth) dad drama – and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will learn Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) secret. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will also demand some answers from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so let’s discuss all the action happening in the week ahead.
First, there’ll be the big ELQ meeting, which will determine whether Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is going to be kicked off the throne.
A surprise arrival could be a game-changer since Austin’s going to crash this meeting and reveal a bombshell.
GH spoilers say Austin’s true identity will be exposed, so we’ll hear the familiar last name that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) alluded to.
Anna also recognized Austin’s father from the old photo she found, so this is all building to the reveal of Dr. Austin Holt.
According to reliable insiders, Austin’s dad is Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) – who was the illegitimate son of Edward Quartermaine (David Lewis).
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) may be able to help secure Austin’s voting rights at ELQ and whatever else Austin feels he’s owed.
As for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she’ll get slammed for gloating to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about the love she shares with Jason.
After Jason warns Carly to cool it, he’ll have to deal with Sam’s questions.
Sam will want answers regarding Jason’s motives, so she may suspect there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to his impending marriage to Carly.
Jason may choose to fill Sam in on the dangerous mob mayhem since he’s marrying Carly as a protective move. Regardless, there’s going to be some tension as these exes have a conversation.
Back with Carly, she’ll get into a heated argument with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and deliver a warning.
In the meantime, Brando will sense that something’s still bothering Sasha.
Sasha acted weird about not inviting Brando to an appointment recently, so Sasha may feel like she can’t pull Brando too close or she’ll just push him away. There may be part of Sasha that fears she’s going to scare Brando off.
Then again, Sasha’s concerns might tie in with Gladys since she clearly has some issues with Brando’s mom. Whatever the case, Brando will determine what the secret is and do his best to reassure Sasha.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will get a nice surprise that boosts his mood, so that may be a reunion with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will also face the challenge of figuring out her former relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and the romantic one that could still be brewing with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Finally, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will break down and admit the entire Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) story to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will be glad to hear Nina’s going to stay tight-lipped, but she’ll still worry Nina might crack under the pressure down the road.
