General Hospital spoilers (GH) reveal that there is word in the soap world that Michael Corbett could be headed to Port Charles. If the Ryan’s Hope alum were to come to Port Charles, he would most likely play a villain. Ever since Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) made their exits, GH has been lacking a truly evil mastermind.
Ryan’s Hope Hints
GH spoilers reveal that there have been hints dropped regarding Ryan’s Hope. It’s not just one reference because that could easily be brushed off as coincidental.
There are quite a few mods toward Ryan’s Hope, in which Corbett played Michael Pavel. Not too long ago, viewers were taken inside Ryan’s Bar in New York.
There, we were introduced to Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller). So, it’s understandable why fans believe that Corbett will be portraying a member of the Novak family.
GH Spoilers: New Baddies Needed
Cyrus was the ultimate villain and recently went to federal prison. Meanwhile, Peter was allegedly killed by Hamilton Finn (Michaeli Easton).
However, whether Peter is truly dead or not remains to be seen. His body mysteriously went missing from the freezer in the sub-basement of the hospital.
Of course, there are still villains in the ABC soap but they are not at the level that Cyrus and Peter were at.
This is making everyone a little too comfortable, as well giving a false sense of safety. After all, this is a soap so when one situation or bad guy is taking care of, then there is another one right around the corner.
Michael Corbett Responds
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Corbett himself has heard rumbling about him being cast in the long-running ABC soap. What is interesting about Corbett’s answer is that he actually didn’t confirm or deny anything.
Corbett’s vague answer might be him just playing along or it could mean that he’s not allowed to reveal anything yet. On Instagram, the actor wrote,
“Ha! Looks like I am a Rumor today!! How fun! Thanks.”
The thing about rumors is that sometimes they are actually true! Notice how he also didn’t give any verification or denial about casting.
If Corbett weren’t asked to join GH, then he wouldn’t have any issues just saying no to being in the daytime TV show. However, he didn’t say yes but also didn’t say no. It was a vague response meant to keep fans guessing.
General Hospital Spoilers: Mob Wars
Not only does Port Charles have a shortage of true villains, but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthios (Laura Wright) were having problems with the Five Families.
These seem to be resolved for the time being. However, it’s been way too quiet, which means something is going to blow up.
It’s speculated that we could see some explosive GH mob wars in the near future. If so, could that be a way to introduce Corbett’s character? We will have to keep watching ABC’s General Hospital to find out what happens next.
