General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been having some difficulties in his new “home” with Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton).
As GH viewers know, it’s been a battle of the wills between a manic Sonny and Phyllis, who’s been determined to get Sonny to get treatment for his bipolar disorder.
Interestingly, Sonny (who’s known as “Mike” to Phyllis and Lenny) isn’t the first “stray” that Phyllis has picked up in her work as a nurse. It’s now been mentioned on the show multiple times that Phyllis has a soft spot for wayward people.
And that leads us to wonder whether Phyllis has helped any other GH favorites who might be familiar to viewers.
One name that’s come up a lot on the show recently is Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) blasted Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) over how Morgan died, and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) have discussed Morgan as well.
All these mentions plus Bryan Craig’s recent social media hint and Maurice Benard’s response have gotten fans wondering whether Morgan might be returning to the show.
It’s always possible that Phyllis and Lenny could have encountered a wayward Morgan after the car explosion that supposedly took his life. Perhaps Phyllis treated Morgan and brought him home much like she’s doing with Sonny now.
In fact, Lenny’s reluctance to deal with Sonny could be based in part on his experience with Morgan in the past. Stranger things have certainly happened!
Perhaps Phyllis will tell Sonny all about her experiences with Morgan in the past. Of course, that probably won’t ring a bell for Sonny, since he doesn’t remember who is is let alone his children.
But viewers might start to put the pieces together as they listen to Phyllis go on about Morgan, who she could even know by a different name.
We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that there’s some big revelation coming regarding Phyllis and someone she might have helped in the past.
Who knows – Phyllis might even know where Morgan is and she might think it would be good to put Sonny in touch with Morgan, since they both came to her under similar circumstances.
Might we see Sonny and Morgan get reunited, both having amnesia? If so, that would mean that when Sonny eventually returns home, Morgan could return as well. That would certainly rock Port Charles!
