General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 28, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) pushed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to trust her and go along with her plan.
While Jason and Carly bickered, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was once again denied access to the drug trial research on the GH computer.
Britt mentioned the denied access to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and thought she could use the research to help with a treatment for the new OD victims. Cyrus argued that since General Hospital put the kibosh on his plans, it was best to keep the info under wraps.
Cyrus also noted that Britt seemed to be spending an awful lot of time in Jason’s room. He reminded Britt that she was the chief of staff and suggested it wasn’t wise for it to seem like she was playing favorites. Afterward, Britt joined Carly and Jason to tell them Cyrus was onto her.
Carly hoped Britt would still help with Jason’s escape plan, but Jason objected. He didn’t want Britt putting her career or her life on the line for him, but Britt insisted it wasn’t Jason’s call to make.
Britt was still in, but she called Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in hopes that she could stay with someone – just in case of any danger.
Liesl was a bit turned on as Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) physically attacked Peter August (Wes Ramsey) at the Metro Court. Scott shoved Peter up against the wall and ranted about Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death.
Once Peter was gone, Scott realized Liesl liked his macho display. Scott agreed to let Liesl stay with him since it worked out well before – and as the elevator doors closed, Liesl and Scott started a passionate make-out session.
Back at GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) avoided Jason’s room and admitted it to Laura Collins (Genie Francis). Liz couldn’t hide behind the certainty of Jason’s guilt anymore since she now worried she just saw what she wanted to see that night.
Laura pointed out the same thing might’ve happened with the eyewitness. In Laura’s opinion, Jason was a level-headed guy who did well under pressure. Jason wouldn’t have shot Franco in a seemingly panicked moment in his art studio.
Afterward on Wednesday’s General Hospital episode, Laura bumped into Cyrus and pointed out that he claimed to now have everything he wanted. She felt this would be a turning point and urged Cyrus to go legitimate.
Cyrus noted that he didn’t have everything he wanted after all since he still wanted a relationship with his sister.
Laura insisted that Cyrus needed to prove he was worthy of building that relationship. Cyrus felt like Laura was putting the cart before the horse. He wanted a build a relationship to show Laura the kind of person he really was.
Cyrus warned about battle lines being drawn and insisted there would soon be no more room on the sidelines. He felt Laura should pick a side before time ran out and one was chosen for her.
Nearby, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was touched when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) stopped by with some takeout. She talked about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) waking up briefly before conking out again.
Willow felt guilty for making Chase believe they had a future, but Michael knew this was what Chase needed. After Willow insisted Michael was the man she loved, Michael suggested that he’d say he loved Willow even more for doing this – that is if it were possible!
After Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) finished his faceoff with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), he overheard Michael and Willow discussing the possibility of letting Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) back in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) life.
Valentin went over to fish for more information, but Michael was uncooperative. Even so, Valentin felt they would all be family through Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) impending bundle of joy.
In Nixon Falls, Nina was excited over the prospect of being in Wiley’s life again – at least at first. However, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) admitted it wasn’t a done deal when pressed. Although Jax was hopeful, this seemed like an empty promise to Nina.
Nina wasn’t willing to go back to Port Charles fo that, so Jax wondered if she would ever come home. He didn’t understand the appeal of Nixon Falls, but Nina admitted she was happy there. Jax insisted that’s all he really wanted for Nina, so she believed him.
At General Hospital again, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) told a sleeping Chase that he wouldn’t let Peter take him away. Chase woke up confused about what Finn just said, but Finn covered. He talked about giving Chase a new treatment, but he admitted it wasn’t a cure.
Afterward, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) cornered Finn to ask what was in the vial Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) handed over. Finn thought Liz must be confused and tried to deny Anna offered medicine.
Finn kept trying to evade Liz’s questions, but she wouldn’t let up since she was part of Chase’s treatment team and needed to be in the loop.
Finn finally suggested he’d tell Liz later, but he wound up having her transferred to another floor to get her off the case. As for Willow, she joked around with Chase about opening his eyes while she was gone.
Chase argued that if he had anything to say about it, he’d have plenty of mornings waking up to Willow. That left Willow looking unsettled.
At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) apartment, Brook Lynn showed off her fake baby bump and explained her plot to dupe Valentin for ELQ shares. Brook Lynn argued that Maxie needed to keep her baby safe from Peter – and BLQ needed a baby!
Maxie initially refused to work with Brook Lynn, who wasn’t really going to be a mom and didn’t understand the gravity of the situation.
However, Brook Lynn argued that Maxie was only turning her down because it benefited Brook Lynn.
After Brook Lynn talked about all the issues she had with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), she wondered what Lulu would tell Maxie to do if she were around. Maxie confessed that Lulu would tell her to get over herself and get on board with Brook Lynn’s plan.
Peter called to tell Maxie that he’d been working on getting that live-in nurse they talked about. Maxie said she was on it and that she thought she’d found someone who could help her.
Once Maxie hung up, she told Brook Lynn that they’d have to play by her rules. Maxie insisted she was trusting Brook Lynn with her child.
Maxie and Brook Lynn’s alliance will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned. CDL’s where you want to be for the hottest General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so stop by frequently.
