General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 25, reveals that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) threatened James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) and struck a Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) deal with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) also called out Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) for her Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) crush, so here’s how Wednesday’s GH episode played out.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) did their best to talk Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) out of giving Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) the document.
Chase ultimately shrugged that Michael’s family hadn’t done anything to him and added that he didn’t need any of this. He gave Michael the document and left, but Willow followed.
Once Willow showed up at Chase’s door, she admitted she’d understand if he slammed it in her face. However, Chase let Willow in before they had a heart-to-heart about their romantic history.
They talked about how special their love was and found closure before Willow gave Chase his wedding ring back.
At the Quartermaine mansion again, Michael chewed Austin out for manipulating Chase and how he went about trying to prove his claims. Austin didn’t think Michael was much better considering he slept with Chase’s wife.
Michael ultimately decided they had to break the cycle of playing dirty and handed Austin the document – much to Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) dismay.
In Nixon Falls, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) comforted Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and pondered the loss he felt must be in his past.
Sonny felt he’d be lucky if he found a love like Phyllis and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton), so Phyllis seemed hopeful that “Mike” was on his way to it.
Inside the bar, Peter pulled his own gun on Nina and wondered why they couldn’t just play nice. Nina assured Peter that they could and took her hand off the gun in the lockbox.
After joining Peter at a table, Nina got him to recap following Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to Texas and then to Nixon Falls.
Peter thought the better story would be the one Nina was about to tell him, so she discussed how she found amnesiac Sonny and how she didn’t want him to lose this fresh start as “Mike.”
Peter implied that getting back at Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) had to be part of it, but he was willing to keep Nina’s secret – though he had some demands. He pointed out that he needed shelter and a base of operations.
Peter wanted to stay in Nixon Falls for a while and ordered Nina to relay any news she got from Maxie regarding Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom). He wanted Nina to do everything in her power to help him locate his daughter.
If Maxie wanted a life with Louise, Peter insisted that meant Maxie would need to have a life with him, too.
Peter was adamant about finding Louise first, but he threatened to take James as a suitable replacement if Nina didn’t do what she was told.
If Nina alerted Maxie to anything, then Peter vowed to tell Carly all about Nina living in Nixon Falls with her husband.
Peter seemed rather amused over Nina falling for Sonny, but it was clear that he meant business when it came to his demands.
Nina agreed to make the deal, so Peter shook her hand before jerking it a bit. Peter offered a reminder about being Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) son before Sonny came in.
Sonny hoped they’d had enough time to catch up, but Peter suggested he’d like more and that he’d be staying in town for a while.
Back in Port Charles, Maxie was overwhelmed at the sight of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise.
Valentin brought up a new development in the Louise case and feared Peter might’ve tracked Louise down, but her doubts were confusing to him.
After spotting Austin in the distance, Valentin asked Maxie to hold Bailey for a moment. Maxie savored the chance to soak up a little mother-daughter bonding time while Valentin approached Austin, who revealed he had the document.
Austin hinted about seeing Valentin in the boardroom, so Valentin smiled and seemed hopeful about that.
As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton), they joined Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) for dinner.
Josslyn picked up on the tension between her parents before Carly urged the teens to give her some time alone with Jax.
Once Joss stepped away, she worried to Cam and hated that he had to witness the conflict. Cameron downplayed it and didn’t want Josslyn to feel like she had to hide anything.
Cam pointed out his own family was far from perfect and talked about how lucky he felt to be with Josslyn.
Back at the table, Jax wondered if this was how it was going to be between them from now on. He noted that they still had to co-parent Josslyn, but Carly disagreed now that Joss was headed off to college.
Now that Jax had broken the trust between them, Carly suggested this was how it had to be.
By the Metro Court pool, Esme defended her decision to torch Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car since it drew suspicion away from Spencer.
Esme felt their plan was going well, especially now that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) felt guilty.
Trina appeared and mentioned that she hadn’t known Spencer very long, but he told her she could stop lying.
Spencer acknowledged that he’d told Esme all about how he used the alias “Victor” and crossed paths with Trina when he first returned to town.
Esme made it clear that there were no secrets between them before Spencer stepped away to get some fries.
Once they were alone, Esme told “Trin” they could be real now and suggested she knew Trina had a crush on her boyfriend.
Esme suggested it wasn’t Trina’s fault since Spencer never mentioned he had a girlfriend. She claimed she wanted to get along, especially since Spencer would approve.
After Spencer returned, Cameron and Josslyn also joined the gang. When Esme suggested a mani-pedi with Trina, Josslyn swooped in to save her by suggesting they had other college-related plans.
Trina seemed nervous about the whole Esme situation as Spencer and his girlfriend walked away.
Although Esme was a bit concerned about how much Trina knew and how that could affect the plan, she shifted gears and suggested auditing some PCU classes.
Esme thought it’d give them something to do since they were going to be in Port Charles for a while. Plus, it would appease Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), who was already keeping a watchful eye in Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place.
General Hospital spoilers say Esme will remain the resident troublemaking for the younger set, so don’t miss what’s in store.
