General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 1, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will have a bridge faceoff while Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) hosts a wild dinner. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will also find himself in need of a new life, so here’s what GH fans can expect.
On the footbridge, Carly may urge Britt to get lost now that they’ve arrived at the same spot. It’s clear that Carly went there for some quiet reflection alone, but Britt will want to stick around and deliver a sincere apology.
Britt will acknowledge her responsibility in Jason’s death and will understand why Carly hates her guts right now. Carly will no doubt lash out again, but Britt may assure Carly that she’s wallowing in self-loathing and understands how much she cost everyone.
The hostility of this encounter will come from Carly’s end, but she might eventually calm down and realize it’s not truly Britt’s fault. Jason made his own choices – and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is the real villain in all of this. There’s no way Jason would want Carly blaming Britt for his grim fate, so she’d be wise to keep that in mind.
Across town, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will hop in bed with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) as they take their relationship to the next level. In the meantime, Drew will consider what’s next as he prepares to leave the Quartermaine mansion. Although Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will assume Drew’s going to reclaim his old life, there isn’t much to reclaim.
Drew wants to be a father to Scout Cain (Ella Ramaceri) and will certainly make that his priority now that he’s back in Port Charles. Other than that, Drew will probably want to create a new life for himself. He’ll surely face some challenges but Sam promised to help Drew along the way if he came back alive – and Drew has indeed come back alive!
Drew’s homecoming obviously has Ned Quartermine (Wally Kurth) doing the numbers in his head and realizing Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) cemented CEO status may not be as cemented as he thinks! Since Drew will assume control of his ELQ shares again, that’ll change the game for the Quartermaine clan in this war.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) just won’t want Ned going overboard on this business battle, so he may promise he won’t. Speaking of promises, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) made a big one when he vowed to protect “Bailey Quartermaine” (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) by pretending to be the new “baby daddy.”
Unfortunately, there could be a problem since Chase doesn’t have the DNA test results he claimed to have. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) will put Chase on the spot with a Valentin-related grilling session, so that could stir up way too many questions with vague answers and no evidence to back up the story.
There’s also the little matter of Chase punching Valentin at the Q manse, so he could be facing arrest over the attack if he can’t wiggle out of trouble. Look for some trouble at Alexis’ Thanksgiving celebration as well, particularly after Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) join the party.
The evening will take a wild turn, so we could see some erupting tension and maybe even a surprise guest. It might be fun if Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) invited himself and crashed the bash, but we’ll have to see how it all plays out.
Until then, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will prepare for battle with Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) help. Since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) goaded Sonny over the phone regarding Jason’s death, Sonny’s ready to take the gloves off and fight dirty to defeat Cyrus – perhaps once and for all!
