General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, July 28 Recap – Dante’s Bloody Discovery – Sasha Hires Gladys – Trina’s Cheating Fears

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 28, reveals that Dante Falconceri (Dominic Zamprogna) made a bloody discovery while Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) hired Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) at Deception. Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) also had some cheating fears related to her mom’s new romance, so here’s how it all played out.

At the Metro Court, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) brought over some nonalcoholic drinks and assured Sasha that he’d talked to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Brando thought Carly seemed relieved to know he wouldn’t be part of the Corinthos organization.

Sasha wanted to know where they went from here, so Brando suggested they keep spending time together and getting to know each other.

After Sasha got a notification on her phone, she said it was a reminder to look for a bigger apartment.

Brando still had to babyproof his own apartment and felt that maybe the three of them could all live together one day.

Sasha wondered if Brando meant them and the baby – or them and Gladys.

At the bar, Carly thought back on taking Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) wedding ring set off – then recalled Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) giving her a new engagement ring.

After Laura Collins (Genie Francis) showed up to celebrate Carly’s engagement, Gladys waltzed over and wanted to know when the wedding was.

Carly said they hadn’t set a date yet, so there was no need for Gladys to worry about invitations.

Gladys felt someone should be there to remember Sonny fondly instead of dancing on his grave, but Carly made it clear that Gladys wouldn’t be on the guest list.

Once Brando dragged Gladys off to his table, Carly wondered if Laura thought it was too soon for another marriage. Laura urged Carly not to let Gladys get to her.

That said, Laura admitted she was surprised to hear about the engagement – though she wasn’t passing judgment.

Carly was committed to her decision to marry Jason, but she still missed Sonny and thought about him all the time.

Laura suggested part of Carly would always be with Sonny – and he’d be with Carly, too. She thought it was only natural that Carly and Jason’s friendship would develop into more now that Sonny was gone.

Carly was still getting used to the idea of marrying her best friend, but Laura thought those were the best kind of relationships.

Laura had experienced it with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and didn’t know how she would’ve gotten through Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) tragedy without him.

Carly thought Sonny would approve of her decision, but she worried maybe she was just trying to convince herself. Laura felt like Sonny would be grateful that Jason was there to look after Carly.

Back with Gladys, she was appalled to learn Brando wanted her to move out. Gladys thought Sasha must’ve put Brando up to this, but Brando confirmed she didn’t.

Brando insisted he needed the extra room for the baby, but Gladys protested that Brando couldn’t afford to pay her rent – especially now that he wouldn’t be working for the Corinthos organization.

Brando argued that Gladys needed to get a job like everybody else, but Gladys wondered who would even hire her.

Sasha piped up that she’d hire Gladys and invited her to work at Deception. She pitched the idea of Gladys taking the open assistant position and becoming part of that glamorous world.

Gladys negotiated free makeup and sought assurance she wouldn’t have to get anyone coffee before taking the job.

After Gladys left, Brando told Sasha “bravo” and was amazed by how she’d handled his mother. Sasha felt this would keep Gladys busy and give them some privacy to get to know each other.

By the Metro Court pool, Trina suggested that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) wasn’t so bad.

osslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) still wanted Trina to proceed with caution and soon found out that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was romantically involved with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Trina was worried that maybe Curtis cheated on Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) with Portia – and if he did, that he could turn around and hurt her mom in the same way.

Josslyn understood Trina’s concerns, but she felt what Curtis and Portia did was their business.

“Wrong,” Trina said before taking a dip in the pool. She intended to keep an eye on Curtis and make sure he was treating Portia right.

At Portia’s place, she filled Curtis in on her conversation with Trina going well and poured some wine.

Curtis hoped to take Portia and Trina out to dinner when they were ready, but Portia wanted to hold off – especially since Curtis hadn’t told Jordan about their romance yet.

Curtis asked exactly how much Trina knew about their past together. Portia revealed that she hadn’t told Trina they were a thing while she was married to Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews).

Curtis felt like Trina could handle the news and warned that secrets had a way of coming out.

Curtis didn’t understand why Portia wasn’t more worried about this, but Portia didn’t understand why Curtis was pushing so hard.

When Curtis asked if they were having a fight, Portia settled down and clarified that it was a disagreement – one that was over now.

The topic of whether Curtis and Portia should have more wine came up, which implied taking things to the bedroom, too.

Portia said they should wait until after Curtis spoke with Jordan and after their first official date. She thought they could see where the night took them, so Curtis was on board.

At the PCPD, Jordan quizzed Dante on what Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was doing to follow up on the pilot’s info.

Dante and Jordan learned the security cams were down at GH again, so they worried Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) network was still intact and went to the hospital to investigate.

Down in the sub-basement, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) looked at the empty freezer and insisted this was impossible!

Finn argued that he put Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) body in there himself, but Anna wanted him to be honest about who else knew.

Finn stayed tight-lipped about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and assured Anna that Peter was dead.

However, Anna argued that Finn wouldn’t be the first doctor to make a mistake. They were both taken aback when Jordan and Dante appeared.

Jordan immediately looked suspicious and started asking questions about why Anna was down there with Finn.

Anna and Finn covered as best as they could before Dante discovered blood near the freezer.

Since this was a crime scene, Jordan warned Finn and Anna not to touch anything. Anna argued that they’d been in a rush and had forgotten to “glove up.”

Jordan agreed to give forensics a heads-up so that they knew to account for Anna and Finn’s fingerprints as well as their DNA.

In a moment alone, Finn worried about Anna withholding info from Jordan, but she argued that there was no evidence of a crime without a body.

Anna added that they couldn’t be sure Peter wasn’t alive. She intended to deal with the police side of things and sent Finn off to see what Liz wanted to tell him earlier.

As for Dante, he found more blood and noted that Peter must be hurt pretty bad if it belonged to him.

Jordan was eager to find the man who was on the roof with Peter before he disappeared.

Upstairs at the hospital, Jason spoke with Liz privately as they wondered if someone else might’ve moved the body.

Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came through with confirmation that no one had done it on the security camera footage recently.

Since the cams were off for weeks beforehand, there was no way of knowing what was on that footage.

Jason argued that anybody could’ve moved the body without being seen, but Liz countered that most people don’t even know the sub-basement exists.

After Liz told the story of finding dead Peter again, Jason pointed out that Finn and Liz were panicked. They were also in a rush, so Jason speculated that maybe they made a mistake in declaring Peter dead.

It was either that or someone took the body, so Liz thought Anna and Finn might have some answers.

When Finn arrived, he found out Jason was now in the loop. Finn admitted Anna knew as well and added that the cops were investigating

. Liz was grateful when Finn revealed that he kept her name out of it. Due to this missing body surprise, Jason felt like Finn and Liz were off the hook…for now.
