General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 2, reveals that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) recorded guilty Peter August (Wes Ramsey) after claiming “Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) stole their baby. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) also stopped Peter’s escape, so here’s how it all played out on Wednesday’s show.
At GH, Peter frantically wondered if Maxie was saying that Baby Louise died in childbirth. Maxie insisted that that awful nurse Peter insisted on stole their baby. Peter argued that it wasn’t easy to disappear with a newborn and vowed to find Louise.
Maxie kept ranting about how sick and twisted “Chloe” was. She said “Chloe” tried to convince her that she was working for Peter – that it was all his idea to drug Maxie, kidnap her and eventually leave the country with Maxie as well as Louise.
“Some people will say anything!” Peter replied nervously. He assured Maxie that he’d never hurt her or the baby and embraced her. Maxie said she wished that Peter could access that dark part of him to get Louise back, so Peter said that’s exactly what he’d do.
When Maxie argued that Peter couldn’t and encouraged him to let the PCPD handle it, he blurted out that “Chloe Jennings” wasn’t even the woman’s real name. Maxie asked how Peter could even know that, but she eventually revealed that she’d been playing him.
Peter felt like this was the grief talking and reminded Maxie that she’d called “Chloe” sick and twisted. “Takes one to know one, you demented son of a bitch!” Maxie shouted.
Maxie argued that she’d been pretending to protect the baby, but now their baby was gone because of Peter. Maxie hoped that hurt Peter since she’d been forced to live in such fear every time he stalked her all over town.
Maxie kept calling Peter by the name “Henrik” and was so glad her wedding to a coldblooded killer was stopped. Peter insisted it wasn’t too late for them, but Maxie fiercely disagreed and called him an “arrogant bastard.”
Maxie stunned Peter by revealing that she’d recorded their entire conversation – and with a push of a button, she sent it to Mac Scorpio (John J. York). She warned that Peter’s next stop would be prison and called for security.
Peter wound up rushing off to the stairwell, where he paused in great distress. He was haunted as all the horrible things Maxie said echoed in his mind.
Peter made his way to the rooftop and called someone to reveal that there’d been a change of plans. He needed the helicopter to pick him up there and explained that he’d be traveling alone.
Back inside the hospital, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) paid Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) a visit. Chase said he needed his badge since it’s not just what he does – it’s who he is.
Jackie decided some “alternative therapy” was needed and convinced Finn to let her help Finn on a short walk. While Chase was struggling to mosey around, he bumped into a sergeant from the PCPD.
It seemed to lift Chase’s spirits to speak with someone on the force and get some well wishes. Jackie remained worried about Chase having such a high fever for an extended period of time.
Over with Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), she told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that she had more than enough to arrest Peter for murder based on Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) new statement.
Anna warned that Peter had to stay alive and explained the Chase poisoning situation, which Jordan was upset to just now be hearing about.
After Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) realized Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was likely in trouble, he called Jordan and forced her to cut her conversation with Anna short.
As for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), he ripped Portia’s phone away and warned that if any more blood was spilled tonight, it wouldn’t be his own.
Cyrus informed Portia and Tina that they’d be leaving town together. He also scolded Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) for mouthing off and made it clear that weapon in his hands wasn’t a toy.
Curtis eventually burst in with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) not far behind, but Cyrus convinced them to get out of the house using threats against Portia and Trina.
Jordan arrived and promised a hostage negotiator was on the way, but she wanted to try talking to Cyrus in the meantime. When Jordan pointed out that Cyrus had been shot, he argued that he could still hold a gun.
Cyrus suggested he’d use two bullets on Trina and Portia if he didn’t get what he wanted.
Cyrus demanded that he be taken by private plane to an airstrip with his “new best friends.” Once Cyrus was safely out of the country, he insisted Portia and Trina could come home.
Jordan wanted Cyrus to release his hostages as a show of good faith, but he wasn’t interested. Laura offered up herself in place of Trina and Portia in an attempt to bargain with her half-brother.
Back with Gregory, he felt Finn had been avoiding him. Finn insisted he was just trying to save Chase’s life, but Gregory suspected Finn already knew what was wrong. However, Finn argued that knowing and finding a cure weren’t the same thing.
Gregory recalled how Finn once hid a bad report card from him when he was a child. He remembered telling Finn that his best was good enough and felt that was still true today.
Afterward, Liz told Finn that Peter was at the hospital, but she warned he was desperate and dangerous. Elizabeth wanted Finn to be careful, so he promised he would be.
Soon after, Finn showed up ready for a faceoff as he stared at Peter on the rooftop. The helicopter was seen circling overhead at one point, but Finn warned that Peter wasn’t going anywhere.
Back downstairs, Anna found out that Maxie had her baby. Liz didn’t have all the details, but she insisted Peter wasn’t present for the birth. Anna eventually visited Maxie in her hospital room and revealed that Peter was wanted for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
