General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, May 19 Recap – Cyrus Declares New Enemy - Jason Poses as Britt's Husband

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 19, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) got a tremor explanation and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) posed as her husband. Meanwhile, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) declared a new enemy when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) refused to budge from her stance.

In Nixon Falls, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) chewed Walter the thug out since he remembered him from the robbery at The Tan-O.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was concerned and tried to intervene, but “Mike” ultimately settled down and got Walter to identify Elijah Crowe (Dan White) as the one who hired him.

Sonny gave Walter a number to put in his phone and insisted he should come to “Mike” if he needed cash or got into any more trouble.

After Walter left, Nina thought that was a brilliant strategy since Walter would come to Sonny now if Elijah reached out asking him to do more dirty work. Nina high-fived Sonny, which led to them holding hands briefly.

Nina and Sonny reflected on how he didn’t have the burden of how he reacted in the past to things. “Mike” could be the person he wanted to be now, so he admitted he had no regrets when it came to that.

Back in Port Charles, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) suggested she was willing to do things the pleasant way or the unpleasant way with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Gladys decided to play along and see what was behind door number one.

Carly wanted Gladys to head back to Connecticut and in exchange, Carly would set her up with a nice, functioning business of her choosing. She pitched the idea of Gladys having the life she could never afford before.

Carly was even willing to cosign the house of Gladys’ choosing within reason.

However, Gladys refused to leave Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) or the friends she’d made there. She wasn’t scared of Carly and wouldn’t be scared even if Sonny were still around since she had powerful Cyrus in her corner.

Carly decided they’d have to do this the unpleasant way then and made it clear that Cyrus was just using Gladys. She felt Gladys could be killed and the same went for Brando.

Carly eventually revealed that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was pregnant with Brando’s baby and suggested Cyrus wasn’t going to react well to that news at all. Carly felt like she was the only one in the position to help.

As for Brando, he found Sasha and got her to admit she was pregnant with his child. Sasha was apologetic since she told Brando was on birth control, but she knew she hadn’t been all that consistent with it.

Brando admitted this was unexpected, but he was glad it happened and wanted to support Sasha through this.

Brando fumed over Cyrus and announced he was quitting his job, but Sasha wanted him to slow down and be careful.

Sasha pointed out that she was a trophy to Cyrus, so Brando would be in hot water for knocking her up when Cyrus failed to get her into bed. Brando realized Cyrus would want to take him out.

Cyrus made his way to see Laura and pointed out that he knew about her little dinner party ruse. They argued until Cyrus argued that Laura had made it crystal clear there’d be no family bonding.

Cyrus insisted Laura wouldn’t have to say it again, but that also meant Laura had chosen to be an enemy.

Cyrus brought up Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and warned that he’d have to treat Laura’s son like a stranger. If Nikolas moved forward with his plans to make Pentonville a private prison, then he would be dealt with accordingly.

Afterward, Cyrus showed up to see Sasha at the Deception office. Sasha pushed Brando to stay so they could tackle this head on – and after opening the door, Sasha insisted she had a lot to discuss with Cyrus.

At GH, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was desperate to get out of the hospital and thought this was no way to live. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) refused to let Chase go home and put himself in danger, but Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) piped up with a solution.

Michael offered to let Chase move in the Quartermaine mansion, where he’d have Dr. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) there all the time.

Michael also pointed out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) would be Chase’s neighbor, so they could spend time together.

Chase loved the idea and ultimately got Finn’s approval. In a moment alone with Willow, Chase praised Michael for the offer – and she agreed Michael was a remarkable guy.

When Willow caught up with Michael in private, they acknowledged that this arrangement would make things tough since everyone thought Willow was still with Chase.

Nevertheless, Willow was glad to be going through this with Michael’s support. They still knew Chase’s health and recovery had to come first.

In Canada, Britt wanted to bail on the doctor since it was too risky, but Jason didn’t want her to do it for his sake. If Britt was scared to find out the truth about her condition, that was a separate issue.

Britt wondered if Jason would want to know about the diagnosis, so he admitted he wouldn’t if he didn’t have kids.

Later, Britt told the doctor that she wanted her husband to stay if that was OK. After Britt revealed her hand tremors, she admitted that her father had Huntington’s disease.

The doctor suggested they should look into the hand tremors themselves and then they could make a decision about whether Britt would be tested for the genetic marker.

After Britt underwent some tests, she found out she was merely suffering from postural tremors and that she’d been too stressed. Britt noted that she needed to take better care of herself, so Jason thought it was a relief to know there was another reason for the tremors.

Britt wasn’t as satisfied since not knowing the truth about the genetic marker was eating away at her. She didn’t know if she could live with the uncertainty, so Jason encouraged her to find out if this was suffocating her.

When the doctor returned, Britt announced that she wanted to be tested for Huntington’s disease.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason will support Britt as she waits for more test results, so stay tuned. CDL will have lots of other fantastic General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your number one source.
